New Hope Bay is an extraordinary living community that independent through memory care seniors call home. Our families personal experience has enabled us to see different units as they work to serve their senior residence. It was important to our family to find the right “fit” because we wanted it all: clean and safe, quality activities, dining services, laundry and housekeeping, and important medical services. NHB offers all these services and probably more. I can personally say that all of the staff are friendly, positive and most of all seem to truly care about the residence. Home is not something we take lightly and NHB has excelled in providing this atmosphere. Well done NHB!

My mother moved into New Hope Bay last November. While the change from the home she lived in for more than 50 years to a one bedroom apartment was quite challenging for her, she adjusted just as NHB Staff said she would. Mom really likes and appreciates the care team, kitchen , and activities staff. Her social life has blossomed and she regularly tells us how much she likes living there. Her favorite activities are the entertainment on Wednesday’s, exercise and balance classes, church service, and Saturday movies in the theater. NHB offers many more activities as well. Mom is eating so much better now and really likes the food and though she complains the portions are too big, I have noticed she usually eats all or most of a meal. Having dined several times with her and her table mates, I have to say the meals are very tasty and the homemade soups are delicious . My family and I have found the NHB staff to be pleasant and helpful in so many ways: I highly recommend New Hope Bay !

NHB has a very beautiful facility. The workers, in general, are very friendly and caring. I won’t mention names as I might inadvertently miss someone who has been especially helpful. There is always something going! I do wish the meals would not have so much salt included. Many of the residents have issues with high BP, heart ailments, and edema, which do not respond well to greater sodium content. I have been told that they do not add salt, which is true, but they still offer many items with increased sodium content in them. I’m referring to ham, cheese, sauces, shrimp, etc. If they do have to offer these items, maybe they could make sure that only one meal per day would have these items. I also wish their pricing for accelerated care would be increased according to what they actually needed, not just a blanket charge for many services that they do not need. Thank you for your continued care. I’m still very pleased with NHB.

New Hope White Lake has been a wonderful place for my family member who is getting excellent care and has gone from isolated to thriving. The executive director is running a wonderful care facility and I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place that is cozy, clean and attentive.
