My mom recently became a resident at a New Life Assisted Living home. The staff was wonderful in her transition, and she was able to settle in beautifully. As her only daughter, it gives me piece of mind that mom is in good hands.

Mom was 102 and I'd been caring for her for 12 years and I needed a break. After looking at various facilities that I couldn't afford, New Life was recommended to me. What a blessing it was. Mom was originally going to stay for a month's respite care. She liked it so well that she was pleased to stay another 5 months until her death. The home is small and in a wooded setting with large windows which felt like her Poconos home to her. Mom enjoyed the caring loving staff, the cleanliness, meals, and laundry service as well as the hairdresser and podiatrist that came frequently. During Mom's stay I had a lot of questions (it was hard for me trusting others with Mom's care) and they answered my questions quickly and efficiently. I was treated as family as was Mom.

We highly recommend New Life Assisted Living! For months I had been searching for a new Assisted Living home for my father. This decision is not an easy one and was certainly most overwhelming. We needed to find a new place for my father, that would fit in his budget but would still provide him with the highest level of care. When I was first introduced to New Life Assisted Living, I was treated with the utmost respect and at times was treated like I was already family. Mr. Thomas made sure he was available for any and all questions, we were able to take a Zoom visit to see the home as well as meet some of the residents. Mr. Thomas was very thorough on the information he provided that I felt well prepared to make my decision. The amount of care and services they provide at New Life Assistive are not always found in larger Assistive Living communities. Once we made our decision to have my father become a new resident, Mr. Thomas provided assistance in completing initial intake forms and was always there to answer any questions I had. When it came time to move my father in, the moving process was very easy! During a pandemic Nursing homes need to follow strict guidelines to keep interactions with those outside the home limited. We were able to move my father’s belongings quickly and safely so we did not have any interaction with those inside of the home. My father was greeted immediately with open arms and a warm lunch! Although we were a little sad to move my father to a new place, we were reassured when we received pictures of him adjusting during his first several days. Although this was a hard decision for us to make, New Life Assisted Living made every other aspect smooth and my father is in great hands! He is happy with his new living arrangements, has made new friends, loves the home cooked meals, and he is well kept. We are so happy to have found New Life Assisted Living.

Coming from a large scale, long term care environment I was truly inspired by this option for people who need assistance in their daily lives. The "home" is beautiful and had a very pleasing vibe. I would recommend looking into this option if you or a loved one is in need of services like these.
