My father was treated with respect and compassion. The staff are very friendly and have the skills needed to assist elderly people with advanced Dementia. Ellen is the head nurse she is extremely knowledgeable and has the experienced to insure that your loved one will be taken care of. I'm so grateful to New Perspective making my Dad's final days peaceful.

My Mother was a resident at this facility for 2-1/2 years. Most of her caregivers were amazing!! We couldn't have asked for more loving and caring people to care for our Mom. Unfortunately, the management leaves much to be desired!!! When Mom passed about a week and a half ago, management seemed like it was an inconvenience to help us to find our Mom's Hospice nurse, who gave us time to say goodbye. Today we went back to thank some of the staff and to drop off something that we had that didn't belong to Mom, and we were told that management said that family members of deceased former residents are not allowed to come back. This was very upsetting, as we became close to other residents and to the wonderful caregivers in the time that Mom was there, and would love to stay in touch, but we are not welcome there anymore, now that Mom has passed! Some of the residents have no family, or visitors and we felt it would be nice to pop in occasionally to just see how everyone is doing. I'm shocked that management forbids this from happening. The management team could learn so much from the caregivers that work so tirelessly every day, making sure the residents are clean, dressed, fed, exercised, etc. When Mom first got there, the management was present and involved, but over the past year or so, that is not the case. Makes us so sad, as we felt so blessed to have gotten Mom into this facility and then to see where it's gone is just a shame.

This facility has gone downhill quite a bit in the past 3 years. 2 caregivers are expected to care for 15 residents with big behavior problems. They are expected to cook meals, toilet and dress, clean, do laundry, administer medication, entertain and bathe residents. They have minimal administrative support to do their jobs. Day staff is expected to get residents ready for bed and in pajamas before dinner because there is only one caregiver at night from 6 PM to 6 AM. Maintenance crew is not present on a regular basis. There has not been an onsite regular nurse for several months. In the past, there were Christmas parties, holiday parties, and picnics with occasional outings. NOW NOTHING. This family has not seen a survey in over a year and would give it no stars if that was an option.

is there anything lower than one star? This place sucks. NO recreation director. Just get the people up, well them to the day room, feed them, and back to bed at night. Staff is overworked. When you call the main number no one can help you. They direct you to call the director who NEVER returns calls.
