As others have stated in their reviews, staff will lie to you and they will lie to your loved one's doctors as well. Medicine from the local pharmacy that was delivered was "lost," claiming they didn't receive it. They did. "Phyical therapy" is a joke and does not do what they say they will do and the overall attitude was that of superiority and you don't question or as. Nursing care when my mom first entered was actually pretty good and I thought maybe NPCC would be OK. About a month in that all changed. I walked in on a Sunday and there sat my mom with her feet uncovered - so easy to see - and they were black and purple from her compression wraps being too tight. My mom did not have a room. She had a small cubicle. She was in a room with a long time resident who controlled the window and there was never any light in the room and my mom could never see outside. Nurses left my mom's catheter bag just lay on the floor and it slid on the floor when they wheeled her back and forth to her room. The worst part was the power match between the CNA and the head nurse that cost my mom her life as well as their botched CPR as noted by the EMTs and the ER Dr. My mom also had a credit to her room, a sizable amount. It took over nine months and lots of phone calls and more lies from them to get the money back. We are heartbroken and sick over my mom's last months. It's hard enough losing a parent but in the manner we lost my mom is almost unbearable. We were also there daily with my mom and saw first hand the sub-par care not only with her but with the other residents as well. I hope the new ownership has made badly needed changes and the care has drastically improved.

I am very pleased with NPCC they have amazing staff very warm and welcoming when you come in! It’s so nice seeing their DON, Administrator, all the other department heads hands on and willing to help where is needed! Building is well taken care of with housekeeping, and the residents are very well taken care of always look presentable and safe! I highly recommend your mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, Aunts, and uncles any one of your family members to come to the care center!

North Platte Care Center has a line of compassionate and hardworking staff! They have a great rehabilitation team and very helpful nursing staff. Would recommend to anyone looking for long term or short term stay.

My mom loves her caregivers at North Platte Care. She tells me all the time how much she loves them and they are like family. When I have had any concerns, they are addressed timely by Carolyn Riggs, Administrator. During the height of the pandemic, when we were unable to visit in person, I would video chat with mom and staff would give her hugs for me. I have gone into mom's room at times unnoticed by the aides and have overheard their conversations. They speak kindly to her, are very patient and understanding as they work with her. Out of the three nursing homes in North Platte, I would choose this one over the other two. No place is perfect and nobody wants to live in a nursing home, but I sleep better knowing that mom is being cared for by people who love her.

I wouldn’t take your sibling or loved one any other place but North Platte Care Center. Disregard the negative comments because this place has taken a turn for the better! The amount of love and care provided by not only the Nurses and CNAS but the management actually, genuinely care for the residents. It brings tears to my eyes watching those workers love and care for each and every individual.
