North Pointe Assisted Living Of Archdale

HORRIBLE... In 2023 there were 4 different Administrators/Directors and this facility was unclean and foul smelling. July 2024 this facility continues to decline. And money has been discovered missing from my siblings account several times (2 X in 2023) and this year the threat was made (by phone and letter) that she would be put out if $24 was not paid. I made a trip to DSS along with the letter. The case worker said North Pointe should check THEIR records as they were paid that in January of 2024 and they could NOT put her out. I am done with this facility, it's foul smelling, dirty {another sibling requested a broom to sweep the room herself and she cleaned the window sill of filth} and the management doesn't do honest accounting. It is nothing like it was years ago.

There should be no stars for this facility. They have not taken good care of my mother and thru this pandemic this facility has taken advantage of family members not being allowed to visit as a pass to be extremely negligent. DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY MEMBER IN THIS FACILITY!

My mother was a resident of this facility for all of 2 months. The office staff is where the problem lies. In the time my mom was there, she had maybe 3 showers. She is deathly afraid of dogs and one was allowed in her room daily. She was not allowed outside to enjoy the sunshine. It was not a good experience at all. He care plan was never explained to the CNAs.

The employees working the floor in the Dementia care unit have been great, they seem to care about the patients. There seems to be something lacking when it comes to the office help, it is about impossible to get general information from them, no one seems to know what is going on. You can't get the information you need for monthly billing or when your parent has a doctor's appointment etc. out of them. You have to stay on them constantly to find out anything, and forget anyone returning your phone calls. You can usually get more information from the floor help than you can the office if you are lucky enough to catch anyone in the office. I will say that the facility appears to be cleaner than most I have been in and you don't have the usual nursing home smell knocking you down when you go in.

My mother recently was moved to North Pointe of Archdale, and the staff and residents there are some of the friendliest, most welcoming folks you could imagine. She has been treated so well over the last few days, and I can see how this facility really lives up to its mission to create a "family" atmosphere.
