North Star Retirement Community

I have been at North Star many, many times since Fall 2022 and I have found the staff to consistently be some of the most caring and friendly people I have ever encountered. Whether it's the sales staff, front desk, housekeeping, dining room and kitchen staff, or the resident aides and caregivers, everyone has been outstanding and dedicated to giving the residents the best possible community to live in and flourish. Kudos to North Star Retirement.

My family moved my grandmother there in 2021, I can never say enough about this community. Everything from the staff to the food is nothing but a great experience. The staff made my grandmother feel right at home with kind energy and attitude. Kayla and Jessie made her move in process seamless and easy. All questions were always answered and given with a smile! I adore North Star and I will forever recommend this community to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

North Star is more than a "facility" our loved ones just move into, they have created a beautiful, safe and very comfortable atmosphere for them. We moved our mom in and from day one she was visiting and laughing in the dining area with strangers who very quickly became dear friends. The staff is incredible, they know every single resident by name, and they treat them like they are family. We will never forget all the smiles they brought to our moms face. They have so many activities, outings, holiday parties, and entertainment, one could never be bored They also have beautiful area's to just sit and visit, play cards or games or sit outside on the patio area and soak in the sun with a rootbeer float! Whether it is Independent Living or Assisted, they are still treated with the same love and respect. We know first hand as our mom started on the Independent side and eventually needed more care and moved to the assisted living side. We can't say enough about how great they are. It's very hard moving our loved ones out of their homes, but North Star absolutely does everything to make them feel like they are home.

We moved our mom into North Star June of 2025. The care has been excellent. I sleep well at night knowing she is in good hands and safe. Kayla Bouder does a great job of handling all the affairs of finding the right apartment and making sure everything is in order for the families, another comforting piece knowing the staff is so caring about our loved ones. Highly recommend North Star.

North Star Assisted Living is truly a shining light in the realm of assisted living communities in the Coeur d'Alene area. What a beautiful experience it is to walk in an be greeted by happy, smiling resident faces, eager to help staff and friendly and beyond personable administrative staff. Jessie especially has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make myself and the clients we bring to North Star heard and loved and is ready to jump in to problem solve in order to find the best solution for the situation. North Star would be the ideal assisted living community where I can see my own parents being very happy there and very well taken care of. Highly recommend going on a tour there and meeting with Jessie or Kayla!
