A friend has recently been placed in this facility. As a friend, I can see her care is not good. My friend has had a rash over her whole body since the third day of being there. Very little has been done to address this. After three weeks of this rash, she now has a productive cough. Treatments have been ordered but not consistently followed through. These are only a few of the things noted for her personal care. The housekeeping is another issue. Due to the rash her skin is shedding which is everywhere in her room. It seriously looked like the floor had been snowed on. Yuk! There is no way they attempted cleaning her room. If I were a family member I would be furious. However, I am putting this review out there for any other person who may be contemplating putting a loved one in this facility. Please consider this review and be forewarned. I should have taken pictures.

My loved one has been here since about June solidly. They are very great at incontinent care, adls and iadls. PT, OT, and speech isn't super aggressive but also isn't super lax. They do work at the patients pace which is Appreciated. Meal planning is great as well as financial tools so that they still have some sense of independence but monitored. Their monthly medical check ins are very well organized. Laundry and quality of life is amazing. The staff are super kind and welcoming even on their worst day. They do have holiday events families and friends cand participate which is amazing. Room for improvement. I think their should be more brain injury friendly activities in general for not just during PT, OT and speech. For the price of the daily fees there should be activities that are not just ones we'd find at home but ones that are designed to be helpful that we can incorporate when we visit. I also feel like there should be family and friend group therapy opportunities. This type of transition is a rollercoaster emotionally and physically among families and friends. I do think it is unusual that there are staff of all ages for this level of care but it is a new age in general and the facility makes it work so it is also a pro just might be a shocker. There isn't an area for the itty bitty visitors either. You have to set the environment which can be a pro if you're great at those sorts of things but when you've spent months in a hospital to an in between facility it is a transition. They also don't really tell you what is and isn't okay to do when you visit when it comes to friends visiting. It's a trial and error situation.

The Bethesda group home closures forced us to find a new home for my developmentally disabled sister. After an awful experience at a group home in the Appleton area, we found Clearview. The care Brittany received was exceptional. She arrived with some serious health concerns that the Clearview staff addressed and got squared away. Brittany thrived there thanks to the angels that work there. My parents would have been thrilled with Clearview. While Brittany died unexpectedly but very peacefully in her sleep, I know that her time there was a blessing. I will be forever grateful to her caregivers there.

I had always heard Clearview was amazing. I disagree. My mom was there for 3 days before we had her moved. There was no communication between the staff. I had questions and 3 out of 4 employees said, "I don't know". Only 1 said ,"I will get you answers." They did not comb her hair out brush her teeth. Before choosing this place, check out Hope in Lomira first.
