My parents lived at theEl Dorado Hills Senior Care Village for over 2 years. During that time they were always treated lovingly and with great attention to their individual needs. Juliette was their main caretaker, she was always kind and caring and kept me informed of their status and their needs. She is an excellent cook and would go out of her way to make them things they liked. I highly recommend Juliette and the facility to families making these tough decisions.

Those who have a 92-year-old aunt living with them understand the message completely. It's like coming home. For her, this feels like a true home environment. Despite having severe dementia and being on hospice, she is a little more "with it" than some of the other visitors. She calls the carers" her buddies" while she washes the floor and puts the dishes away. This is after only a little more than a month there (almost 6 weeks now). She is close to my husband and me, and we see her frequently. She was skipping meals at home and now never does. She and the visitors are really blessed.

Both my parents became residents at the Oakridge location of El Dorado Hills senior care village in summer of 2021. Initially, my parents received a “special rate” because they both were becoming new residents. My father was a dementia patient, & about 2-3 months at their new home, he somehow managed to walk away from the facility and was found a few blocks away at 6 in the morning by the local fire dept., & he was taken to the hospital. Fortunately, he was not not hit by a car or ?? The county ombudsman became involved and investigated the matter and learned there were no security measures in place. Afterwards, cheap window & door alarms were installled on the doors and windows, & I was admonished by the administrator that on-duty staff sleeps at night time, & there is no one is awake at all times there. In addition, my parents “special rate” was increased an extra $400 after staying there only 5 months. My father passed away there at the beginning of 2022, and I had to remind the facility to reimburse me for his unused rent payment. A month after my father’s passing, I was given less than a week’s notice that my mom’s rent would increase almost an additional $1000. I informed the administrator that by law I was entitled to more of a notice, so I was told the increase would begin the following month. I declined the increase and informed them I would be moving my mother soon. However, unfortunately, my mom passed away there, too, two weeks later.

The sign makes perfect sense to those with a 92 year old aunt in the home. This is like YOUR home. This is like a real home setting for her. She is a little more "with it" than some of the other guests although with severe dementia and on hospice. She sweeps the floor and puts dishes away and calls the caregivers "her friends". This after being there just a little over a month (almost 6 weeks now). My husband and I are close to her and get to see her whenever possible. She wasn't eating at her home-now never misses a meal. Such a blessing to her and those who visit.

My 97 year old mother is very fortunate to be living in the lovely home on Canterbury! Her caregiving team is extremely kind to her, she is thoroughly delighted with each of them! She repeatedly compliments JoJo on his cooking! On August 14th, Mary arranged an unbelievable 98th birthday party for Mom, piano music filled the house, a delicious dinner was served on a beautifully decorated table with a fresh floral centerpiece --- the celebration was topped off with chocolate cake and ice cream!!! Very special thanks our new El Dorado Hills Family!!!
