If you are looking for a vibrant retirement community, don’t look further, Park Pointe Village is the place!!! My husband and I moved into a cottage three years ago and that was the best decision we ever made. We were welcomed with open arms by the residents. We immediately got involved in several of the many activities offered on and off campus. We live independently but enjoy the dining room when we do not want to cook. We love the transportation provided to events around so we do not have to drive at night or fight for a parking space. When Covid hit, we could not have found a safer place to be and a nicer staff to attend to our needs. And now, we have a total peace of mind for whatever the future holds for us. Monique Boekhout

What is Park Pointe Village? Simply, it is a senior continuing life care retirement community rated highly by the industry’s independent accreditation organization, providing high level care to its residents at all stages in life. PPV offers independent living apartment style or separate villas/cottages. As we progress through our senior years PPV provides for assisted living and skilled nursing care all on the same campus. All this with no increase in monthly fees over what you were paying in independent living. And, the kicker, a portion of whatever stage in life you are living is a medical tax deduction. Additionally, it is owned and backed by ACTS Retirement Communities that manages 26 CCRC communities from Pennsylvania to Florida. ACTS is very conscious of delivering caring services at all of life’s stages. ACTS and Park Pointe are financially sound. They will willingly share their financial statements with you; an important fact you should explore diligently for any similar community you consider. At PPV, we have found that the community is open, friendly, welcoming and active. Its layout provides a sense of neighborhoods just as you might experience in a subdivisions today. The staff is wonderfully friendly and reach out to help the residents in any way they can. Dining, social activities, transportation, on site medical support and organized field trips are all provided as are a pool and fitness center. Come see for yourself.

My parents chose to live at an Acts facility in Boca Raton, giving me and my siblings the gift of knowing they would be well taken care of as they aged. My husband and I chose to live in another Acts community—Park Pointe Village in Rock Hill, SC—for the same reason. We have lived in Park Pointe Village for nearly two years and couldn’t be happier. We live in a community with friendly residents and a staff that works very hard to keep us active and healthy. Thank you Park Pointe Village for our new home.

My FIL participated in rehab there some years ago and I was impressed at that time. He had sustained a traumatic brain injury and did well there. However, present day, he is being released from hospital following an infection. His physical abilities outweigh what he could do when admitted for the Traumatic Brain Injury years ago. However, the current staff have determined him ineligible for some reason. But no one there seems to know why. My guess is that they aren't as professional as they used to be. Can't seem to get any answers on this because I would think him far more capable now than he was then. But, when I ask specific questions, all I get is "I don't know". No one willing to find out and no one who knows why which is frustrating because it makes people appear either to be just completely uncaring or ignorant. Maybe that's God's way of letting me know that this is not the facility that it used to be.

Executive director still there unfortunately. Great nurses have left in the last month! Also, the best Admissions Director is no longer there. Does Corporate directors not listen to the families of residents pleading with them to evaluate the management staff?? There are serious problems occurring at Willow Brook Court!!
