OAKMONT OF SILVER CREEK

My Grandmother is here and went from a care facility that didnt care for her to one that basically is doing the same thing. The first trip me and my mom went to visit was all shiny lights and smoke and mirrors. Although the gentleman "George", who gave us the tour was great. Once my grandmother arrived it was a uphill battle to get maintenance to help hang pictures in her room she pays 10k a month for. Also they fired George, and all went downhill after that. From the food which is the same menu every week and mostly filipino style food, to when she orders food they forget her order, they used to check on her twice a day now they dont. I was there to visit for a day and no one checked on her. There were multiple times i came to the front door and it was open and no front desk attendant. For it being a new facility over a year old she had a pest problem in her apartment. Whenever she tried to address her concerns to Minnie, minnie would say "its whatever corporate wants". For someone who is up in age and is paying this price the food should be Michelin rated, family shouldnt get charged to have a meal with their loved ones, service should be 5stars. I mean it better be perfect. There is so many things that should be different. Had we known all of this we would of looked elsewhere. Do better Oakmont.

My husband lived in the facility for almost 3 years. The care staff was compassionate and cared for him well. He was always content when we visited. The facility is nice, clean and well kept. I took off a start because during the past years there were too many executive staff changes and management communication was lacking. Much has improved since last Spring, very pleased with the new management.

Amazing 6 months After half a year here, I and my wife love* calling this place our home. The staff feels like family – always warm and attentive. The activities keep me engaged (never bored!), meals are delicious, and my apartment is beautiful. Safety, cleanliness, and genuine care shine every day.

What a Wonderful World My life began in an old farmhouse without electricity, running water, indoor plumbing, or central heat. Now in my “Golden Years” I enjoy life in a wonderful Country Club environment known as Oakmont of Silver Creek Assisted Living. My hub is a spacious quiet and bright apartment facing onto a beautifully landscaped quadrangle with trees, shrubs, flowers, and a bubbling Fountain. Paved paths with multiple benches, tables and umbrellas make it easy and delightful to roam and relax in this sunny oasis. I enjoy choosing 3 meals each day. These are served in an open seating dining room with linen tablecloths and napkins. In this classy environment I enjoy a glass of wine, tasty food, and the company of good friends. I do not ever have to do any cooking or wash any dishes. In fact, even my weekly laundry and the cleaning of my room are handled by the friendly staff of Oakmonnt of Silver Creek. It has been along 86 year voyage from that original farmhouse. I feel truly fortunate that my journey has led to Oakmont in San Jose Cailfornia. This is the best place and the right place for me. I most heartily recommend Oakmont of Silver Creek to others who are charting a course for their own Golden Years’

I want to say how AMAZING my trip to Oakmont was. I was visiting my mother. I live 6 hrs away. So I am already feeling guilty that I don't see her enough. So you can imagine how good it feels to see how well she is being cared for. There was live music, beautiful spaces and the food was delicious. But the thing that really warmed my heart was the staff especially the director Holly. She greeted my mother by name and introduced herself to me. After she walked away I said to my mom 'Oh coming by to look good to the family huh? ' Mom said ' No she comes by to say HI frequently'. To know that my mother is being cared for by people who know her and REALLY care. She is very happy there. It helps me sleep knowing she is safe. If you are in need of a senior care facility this is the one and these are the people.
