OAKMONT OF WESTPARK

My MIL lived in assisted living for a few years. At first she thrived. When she moved to memory care there was an immediate and serious decline in care AND her health. Residents wander aimlessly. We got calls regarding her and it was like they were NOT the experts. They don't know how to care for dementia patients. They don't know how to redirect them or even take the time to encourage eating. She became scared and shaking which she never had done before. Instead of trying to figure out what was happening, they simply called us and sent videos of her. Something happened but we may never know. One month prior to moving to memory care, she was active, using the stairs daily and being social. Within a few weeks of moving she lost 25 lbs and had 2 trips to the ER for extreme dehydration. Another resident slept in her bed and wet it, but we were never notified by Oakmont. The other family told us. It's a total lack of supervision. We had to get a home health nurse in there ASAP to help stabilize her and check out the situation. I was shocked when I typed "complaints regarding oakmont of West park" into my web browser. Others had the same complaints we had. We moved her immediately. In her new home she eats and drinks. She is slowly regaining her strength. She's starting to smile again. They send pictures daily in a group text.

I feel very good about the care my family member receives at Oakmont of Westpark. Everyone employed here is kind and helpful. I believe the staff here goes above and beyond and truly care about the residents.

Oakmont of Westpark has been a godsend for my parents. The support and care they receive is excellent. The staff are friendly and professional. My mother has needed immediate attention more than once and they have responded within minutes. My parents eat all three meals in the dining room and are very happy with the food. They also receive house cleaning and laundry service. But most importantly they are safe and happy and well looked after. My family and I highly recommend Oakmont of Westpark!

We are an Oakmont family. My mom and dad and mother in law have been or currently are residents. The care and staff are exceptional. Clean clean clean and food is excellent. I feel calm and good knowing my parents are well taken care of

So impressed with Oakmont Westpark. My 94 year old mother has been a resident for 6 months. The entire atmosphere is warm and kind. Staff is so amazing. The food is delicious and the dining room is beautiful. I used to feel afraid for my mom to leave her home and go to assisted living but not anymore. So many activities and genuinely kind staff. Amazing!
