No one was at the entrance to greet us when we went to visit our relative. Stood with another patreon waiting to be acknowledged. Approached a staff member for assistance who stated that she was unable to help due to being "Agency Staff."" I left to seek assistance building with chapel in awful condition. Found a nurse who directed me to the room. Buckets catching water in the hall, missing panels, and the bed appeared very outdated and worn. Unfortunate conditions for residents. Please do your research before placing your loved one here. Facility may be getting updated, but some things encountered are still un called for.

I came to visit my dad who has dementia and also has to wear depends. He said he had to go to the bathroom I let a nurse know what was going on. He ended up sitting in his on mess for 10 minutes. This is unacceptable how would these nurses like to sit in there mess. They need to do better. It also smells bad in here.

I have had one loved one died there a few decades back. She and my mother thought it was a lovely place as did I. (Heed the use of past tense.) Years passed and mother moves into the Oaks. It is still pleasant, and she is mobile. Years pass and as mother ages so does the establishment. Funds must be depleting for there is growth invading the interior and medical attention is diminishing, staff is fading. Misappropriations seem to arise, with medications, apparel, and jewelry. Still the libraries are filled, there seem to be bountiful activities in which to participate, the food is good and plentiful. Then we all have the trouble of COVID. I do appreciate the care that was taken in isolating and caring for our treasures at the Oaks for there will never be another like her or them. Nothing is all bad or all good. My opinion has diminished or is it just my age?

Good place for families to visit with residents and have lunch together. Lunch requires reservations (at least on holidays.) Very clean, easy to find, and the staff is nice to family members.
