Our mom was in the assisted living area (Lodge) about 8 months and it was not the experience we were told it would be. There were many instances that the staff did not “assist” her in everyday tasks like dressing, bathing, getting her to the cafeteria for meals or look for missing items in her room. She was told to “call her family members for help” by the staff. When addressing with administrative staff we were told that she wasn’t asking for assistance which we knew was incorrect. Our mom was very cognitive and kept explicit notes. I would suggest you not consider placing your loved ones here. If it sounds to good to be true…… it most likely is.

My MIL literally never has a bite taken out of her food when I show up. She is either wearing her food or just gives up trying to take a bite. I never see her CA not sitting at a computer and I don’t think she is charting all day. Why can’t just one person help someone eat that can’t take a bite on their own? Also, interesting to me that all the residents are asleep in the gathering room. Just sharing what I see each visit.

Was in Rehab for extended time and it was decent but the food wasn't same stuff every morning and no diabetic meals everyone got the same food. Physical Therapy was very important and a wonderful staff.

Just wanted to give a positive experience with Rehabilitation. The staff excellent and my mother's rehab great. My sister and I then transferred out mother to the Lodge. Again, excellent facility and the staff are excellent. We are so happy we found The Oaks. We are so grateful to everyone at the Lodge.

My mom was admitted there for rehabilitation and her first night they would not help her to the bathroom. Told her to go in a diaper they put on her.. She went all night without her pain medication and then they ask why she was crying. She has a ruptured disc. One of the staff refused to help her because she had just had a baby. They were rude and the food was horrible. The only one that had any compassion was the head nurse i spoke to when I dismissed my mom. It was a horrible experience. When u see your mom so upset it does something to you. I would give them a negative 10
