OCEAN BREEZE AT BEECHWOOD

The people at Ocean Breeze were very caring and thoughtful while my mom stayed at their facility. They helped us to connect with hospice when that time came, and became part of our family. We highly recommend this board and care for your loved one.

I had a lovely visit at the Ocean Breeze facility at Beechwood. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the beautiful outdoor space this location offers! The amount of in-home appointments available and the transportation to and from appointments is a major plus. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and offered a range of engaging activities for the residents there. I was encouraged to know that they are communicative with the families of residents and that my loved one's needs would be met. The whole staff was kind and patient. I was overall very impressed.

My mom has been cared for in the Blue Oak home for several years. She needs maximum assistance with all of her activities of daily living. The caregivers at the facility are very kind and loving to the residents and give very individual attention to each resident's needs and likes. Their "home cooked" meals always smell so good when I visit. The facility is always spotless. They have a nice yard available for family visits. I am always made to feel welcome to visit at any time while they maintain strict Covid protocols to keep everyone safe during the pandemic. Communication with all levels of the organization is very easy. Staff's coordination with therapists and other outside services works well, making it easier for the families. I highly recommend this facility. Most of all, Mom's care is amazing!

I highly recommend Ocean Breeze. My Mother-in-law, Peggy, has been a resident Ocean Breeze for almost tree years. Before Ocean Breeze, Peggy lived in an assisted living facility in her own apartment. After she had a stroke, we moved her to Ocean Breeze. We wish we had moved her years earlier! The home environment Ocean Breeze offers has been so much better for her than the assisted living facility. For example, they have a communal room where the residents spend the majority of their time. This gives Peggy a connection with others that she needs. Before the pandemic, my husband and I each individually visited daily. The staff always made us feel very welcome. We even brought our dog with us every day! Peggy is confined to a wheel chair and Ocean Breeze makes every attempt to make life better for her. Also, the management has been very open to our suggestions and strives to provide the best care and environment they can.

My Mom has been at this facility going on two years and it really was the best decision we made for her. She was unable to live on her own however we weren’t sure how she would do in a typical large senior facility. This was the best of both worlds. She gets to still be in a cozy residential home but only with 4 other residents who she considers family. She loves the caregivers and staff who prepare 3 home cooked meals a day and always takes such good care of my Mom and her needs. She enjoys having meals at the dining room table with the other residents, she loves how the staff celebrate and decorate for the holidays and each of their Birthdays. She really enjoys the company. We made her bedroom resemble her bedroom from home, we brought her own bedroom furniture over to keep it familiar to her. It’s been a really nice experience and it’s taken a lot of weight off my shoulders as her daughter. I can relax and just enjoy my Mom and not have to be her constant caregiver. I would highly recommend these homes for your loved one.
