OCEAN BREEZE AT BLUE OAK

My 100 year old mother is currently a resident at Blue Oak and has been for several months. With the help of the wonderful staff there she has adapted to her new environment and has even been able to get out of her bed and into a wheelchair for the first time! The house is always clean, bright and airy and very peaceful. After visiting other board and care homes I'm happy that I chose Ocean Breeze at Blue Oak for my mother’s care.

My husband, who has advanced stage Alzheimer’s, has lived in Ocean Breeze at Blue Oaks since June 2023. He is non-verbal and unable to walk. He is content there. His caregivers are outstanding at their job. They are kind, thoughtful & caring. I know he is getting the best care possible. I highly recommend this home.

We moved my mother to Ocean Breeze in November 2022 on the recommendation from a friend. The house is well maintained inside and out. Very clean living areas. Staff is very friendly with the residents and their families. All the residents appear well cared for. We are very happy with the care my mother is receiving.

My grandmother has been cared for at Blue Oak for about two years now. When we first placed her in this community, we were told she had about 3-5 months left. Two years later, she is still with us and in better shape than when she went in! I genuinely believe this is due to the care and attention given to each client in this home. The owner, Dania, is very involved in her communities. And Evelyn … to say she’s a god- send is an understatement. She communicates with me about all the changes (good or bad), she sends me pictures of all the time, she calls the nurses / doctors / pharmacies and she makes sure everyone is receiving the best care. If I’m not able to visit or decide to go on vacation, I don’t ever worry too much because I know she’s in the best hands. The home is always clean and smells good, which makes me happy. I can’t thank this care team enough for letting me enjoy the time I have left with my grandma, and allowing me to balance my own life!

My mom has been living at Blue Oak for a few years. She has dementia and needs total care. I cannot say enough about how kind and competent the caregivers are. Mom is very well fed with homecooked fresh meals. She is now at the stage where she has to be spoon fed, and I know that must take a tremendous amount of patience. She is always very clean and well dressed. They make sure she is up every day to be out of her room with the other residents. I receive texts, photos and videos from the caregivers, which are great so I can see how she is between visits. The facility is very homey and always spotless. I assume they are dispensing Mom's medications correctly- she hasn't been to the doctor, except for her annual physical, for a couple of years. Management made strict policies to keep the residents safe during the pandemic and I greatly appreciate that all have stayed well and healthy. I have been having "window" visits, talking to her on phones. Communication with staff and management has been very easy and keeps my mind at ease that Mom is well cared for.
