Oceanview Assisted Living Residence

Oceanview is definitely a place to consider if you are wheelchair bound or need crutches to aid in walking. If you are independent and in good health, this place is not a place for you to consider since it definitely is for handicapped seniors into their 70s and 80s. It's a huge lifestyle change, especially if you have lived in your own house your entire life, and now have to downsize to a 800 sqft living space(their largest). I love the fact that it's a secure facility with nice grounds in a lovely community, and never have to worry about cooking/dining needs - all is taken care of. For me, I still want to cook, but unfortunately, units do not come with full kitchens, just a microwave and a mini refrigerator. I need room to roam about in my house, and I feel these units cannot provide that. The amount of "stuff" I would have to sell, donate, or trash is incomprehensible at this time of my life, so again, this place is not for me at this point of my life. If you are considering a place for your loved ones who are handicapped, cannot provide for themselves, and need a safe haven for them, you should make an appointment to take the wonderful tour in a beautiful town along the Oregon Coast.

We recently helped my mom move into Oceanview. The best decision we made. From our first meeting with Stephen & Jeanette, we knew this was the right place for her. She's made new friends already and is so impressed with everything. It makes my heart happy knowing she's doing well but also has help nearby if needed. I'd highly recommend this place!

Oceanview is a wonderful place! The staff is kind, compassionate, helpful, friendly, caring, and hard working! We moved our folks in there this past June and everyone helped to make them feel very at home right away. My stepdad suffered from Alzheimer’s and was not happy about being moved from his home, but within two short weeks he was calling Oceanview home and making friends with staff and residents. Recently, my stepdad fell and needed a lot of additional care and the staff was there for all of his needs. He unfortunately took a turn and was put on hospice, and the team at Oceanview stepped up even more. At every turn, they were taking care of my stepdad and my Mom, and even us! We are so incredibly happy that we encouraged my parents to make this move because I’m not sure how we would have handled the past several weeks without them! Mom is planning to stay because she enjoys the community/family atmosphere that Oceanview provides. Mom has made many friends there and enjoys the staff tremendously. She is even on the welcome committee and the council. Mom is more active and feeling more healthy than ever before. She came to Oceanview with lots of back pain, but after getting on-site physical therapy, she is nearly pain free and thriving! I know when the time comes that my husband and I need additional care, we will not hesitate to move to Oceanview.
