ORCHARD POINTE AT SURPRISE

The entire staff was great and the management group is top notice. My dad reluctantly agreed to enter an assisted-living facility following years of discussions. After a month at Orchard, he said "I should have done this sooner." Friendly and engaging staff made his stay there comfortable and gave me piece of mind that my dad's needs were receiving attention.

The memory care manager and staff are amazing. They treat everyone like family. They are compassionate and experienced. The place is clean, and good food tailored to the needs of the individuals.

I hope my post will help a family member before you decide to put your loved one in the memory care unit at Orchard Pointe at Surprise. We had to move our parents two years ago, it was an extremely difficult decision. At the time of our move the staff in the memorycare unit were caring and kind. After a year at Orchard Pointe Surprise they had a big turn over of staff in the memory care unit. From there things became very different, staff were very unhappy, there is a 100 percent turnover. My parents suffered under their care, the food was a hit or miss, whereas my parents lost weight and was left in their room most of the time. The director will tell you what you want to hear to appease you on your concerns. My parents care and concerns were not theirs. We had too many issues for their care to leave them there. I hope writing this will help you to decide on another place for your loved one. I have learned that these care homes are like selling "real estate" but they sell your elderly depending on how much you can pay. Do your own research when locating that difficult placement. The second move was like moving them the first time. Today they are thriving in their new location.

I chose Orchard Pointe-Surprise for both my mother, and my mother-in-law. My mother resided at OP from 2014 to 2018. I visited several 'facilities', but my last stop was OP, and it was perfect. The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming, not just to me but to my mom! We were embraced with their warmth, kindness and knowledge. My mother was a nurse, and her assessment of her care was, "They are excellent" In December of 2022, my mother-in-law fell and fractured her wrist. From the hospital, she was sent to rehab. She had trouble doing PT because her toe nails were long and painful. They needed to be clipped. The rehab would not clip her nails. The week before Christmas, on a Friday, she/l was given a 5 day notice of discharge. I immediately called Orchard Pointe-Surprise, and within 3 days, my mother in law was moved in and settled! She was cared for, loved on and treated with respect. The last six days of her life, staff members from administration, to caregivers, to transportation, and maintenance, came to pay their final respects and show me love and support. No place is perfect, but Orchard Pointe- Surprise was perfect for my family members. ~Eileen

I cannot say enough, complimentary things about this community! First of all Zaira is an amazing Sales Director and did a wonderful job working with me and my clients. Her communication was flawless and at no time my clients feel pressured just extremely reassured about their loved ones next chapter. This community is clean and inviting and has an amazing team that kindly greets you and offers assistance whenever they can. The Executive Director personally introduced herself to my client and took the time to chat & build a rapport. I’m very appreciative of this team and look forward to working with them in the future!
