ORCHARD POINTE AT TERRAZZA OPERATING LLC

My two aunts moved here last year into assisted living. I visited many communities before deciding on Orchard Pointe at Terrazza and I’m so happy to have found them. It is reasonably priced compared to other communities, but the staff and sense of community is far superior. The wait staff know my aunts names and know their favorite meals. The games and activities are especially great and staff is intentional about including everyone and creating a fun and inviting environment. I can count on staff to alert me when one or both of my aunts seem to be withdrawing or unwell and they are responsive to my communications when I’m traveling or am unable to stop by, physically, for whatever reason. Although they remain in assisted living currently, I chose the community after my toe of the memory care wing. I’ve found memory care facilities to be so disturbing. The memory care at OPT however seemed much different. Staff pearly works hard to find creative techniques to keep residents engaged and active in an effort to preserve their physical and mental health. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate the love and care OPT provides. It’s made a significant difference in my aunts’ health and quality of life.

I am really pleased with the care my wife Bernie is getting. The staff is great & Bernie seems to like all of them. It has been two weeks today that she came to Orchards. She does have some bad days when she wants me to take her that is the hard part for me. Over all it is a great place.

I would like to thank DJ Bowls, Senior Living Counselor at Orchard Pointe at Terrazza for her understanding and advise regarding our living needs, present and future. She literally spent hours of her time helping, advising and showing us all Orchard Point has to offer. She exhibits great compassion and care for clients and residents alike. My 90-year old parents have lived at Orchard a year and a half and can’t say enough about how wonderful everyone has been to them. The staff is like family and are very caring. The food is wonderful and they helped us through many trying times with their health when one parent would be in the hospital. I felt better knowing the other one was being taken care of. It’s a beautiful facility and so many activities. Happy hour was my Mom’s favorite part of the week with the great music.

We were initially sold on the beautiful facility and amenities for my Mom in memory care at OP at Terrazza. The reality was that the in-house director position turned over three times in two years and was then eliminated. Management from the adjacent building was unresponsive. They created another level of care/cost without adding any additional care. The bed alarm was not allowed and she fell several times. The staff turnover was constant. They were likely over medicating Mom who was slumped in a chair. Once we moved her to another facility, she was alert and talking again. We contacted the corporate offices without any resolution. Be aware for your loved one that what was represented was not reality once we moved Mom into Orchard Pointe. She is doing great in her new facility which further assures me that our decision to leave this memory care center was a good decision!
