Orchard Terrace At Edenton

Our family is deeply grateful to the entire Edenton team for the care, compassion, and dignity they showed our dad over the past few years as his needs progressed from independent living to assisted living and into memory care. At every stage, the staff went above and beyond to support his quality of life with flexibility, patience, and genuine kindness. Edenton played a meaningful role in a very difficult chapter for our family, and we will always be thankful for the professionalism, humanity, and heart they brought to their work.

Over 10 years ago my husband and I moved to Edenton. I went into an independent cottage and he went into memory care so we could stay together in the same place. I was able to spend every day with him. The personnel caring for him were compassionate, loving and efficient. They provided the care that I was unable to give him. A year after he died, I moved to my daughter's home. I moved back to Edenton about a year ago into an independent cottage again. I found many of the same employees that had cared for my husband were still here giving excellent care to residents. I am impressed and comforted that my Edenton Family members are still here. It is hard to describe the feelings that come from every staff member doing so many little caring things to meet the unique needs each one of us has.

After each of three hospitalizations beginning in January 2024, I have received excellent Home Health Care from Edenton aides. They have provided day and overnight recovery care, personal care and light housekeeping with wonderful attitudes and abilities. It was easy to quickly setup these services from Edenton. Many thanks to all involved.

We recently moved my 89 yr old mom to Edenton Retirement Community and could not be happier with our decision. Jennifer Holmes was our first contact at Edenton and she was fantastic. She gave us our initial tour and addressed all of our questions and needs without making us feel pressured or rushed. We had discovered Edenton through one of the many events they coordinate with other Senior groups in our area. Edenton is a unique senior living model compared to others. They offer Independent Living with Services where my mom lives in a nice 1 bedroom apartment/casita w/ a cute porch (see pic below). She can also keep her cat without being charged a significant monthly fee. My mom has access to fresh air and nature just outside her door. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained with mature trees and flowers everywhere. Many of the residents have dogs and it seems like someone is always out and about. They also offer traditional Assisted Living like other places but the uniqueness of the Independent Living coupled with Services really fit the bill for us. There are many custom options to choose from. The in house care coordination is excellent as well. I feel like my mom won’t be lost in the shuffle in such a tight knit well run place. Having been my mom’s main caregiver for the last 7 yrs I am particularly grateful for the support from not only the staff but the residents themselves. Her new neighbors instantly embraced her and have been so friendly. My mom has finally found her flock! We feel reassured she is safe, happy, and well cared for at Edenton. Most importantly, my mom is extremely happy herself. Very highly recommend!

My wife has Alzheimer's or Dementia and was able for the first couple of years to need only daytime supervised activities, which were excellently provided by Daybreak. Unfortunately, her symptoms became worse requiring 7/24 help and supervision. Our research found Edenton to be price competitive. She has a corner room and private bath at Edenton. The activates coordinator and staff help her with everything and the three meals a day are per her dietary requirements. I visit her twice a week and have found everything to be very good. She likes the place and has been there since August 2022. I highly recommend
