The building itself is clean, welcoming, and well maintained. Residents generally receive good care, and staff members who work directly with residents seem attentive and compassionate. That said, communication at the front desk could be improved. Interactions over the phone can sometimes feel rushed or unfriendly, which may not leave the best first impression for families calling with questions. There also seems to be a noticeable difference between how management interacts publicly versus behind the scenes, which can affect staff morale. Overall, it’s a nice facility with residents who appear well cared for, but improving staff communication and consistency in leadership would make it even better.

When it came time for me to put my Mother in an Assisted Living Facility, I was so concerned that I would make the wrong decision and that I would affect her remaining years in a very negative way. My wife and I visited many in the area and weighed every factor imaginable. Alto Tavares was the last one that we went to and both of us felt at peace with the decision. It is a beautiful facility and I believe (after much research) that it is by far the best run facility in the state! My mother was in a Rehab facility for a month and a half after she experienced a bad fall in her home. When we brought her to Alto Tavares, we brought her in a wheelchair. She needed help for everything. I honestly thought that it would not get much better. Boy was I surprised. In a very short time, she gained independence. Her mind was clearer. She was happy and really felt good about where she was staying. This is a testament to the incredible staff that are caring and kind. I cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you Alto Tavares for all you do!

It was a difficult decision to find alternative living for a family member but the team at Alto Tavares was incredibly helpful. All the staff was incredibly friendly and informative. They helped make the transition very easy. They have a lot of activities and off site trips for entertainment. We were happy to find a place where our family member can get help with tasks he can't do himself but still maintain some independence. Our family has had a very pleasant experience!!

When my dad needed to move to AL quickly, they paved the way, guiding and accommodating us at every turn. Every staff I met was amazing; Michael was present and will smoke cigars with my dad! and felt like Rebecca was my friend by the end of the process. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

We are amazed in how much EVERYONE has done to help my mom during her adjustment period. Everyone has gone above and beyond in making it a smooth and reassuring transition. We couldn’t ask for more. From the best of meals, to the best of activities, to the best of the staff engaging with the residents it has been incredible!!! When I say the staff engages with the residents it literally means everyone. They really care for and about the residents. It’s so heartwarming to see so many residents happy and smiling and enjoying themselves.
