OUR HOUSE PORTAGE ASSISTED CARE

I work with an outside agency that provides additional supportive care for the residents, and my experience with this facility has been very positive. The staff is genuinely caring and attentive, communicates well with outside providers, and is responsive to resident needs. The environment is clean and welcoming, meals are homemade, and residents are offered engaging activities. I appreciate how they promote independence while also maintaining a safe and supportive setting. From what I’ve seen, this appears to be a compassionate and well-run community.

We are truly blessed to have found Our House for our mom. The staff members are all very kind, caring, patient and compassionate. Everyone has become like family. My mom especially enjoys all the musicians who come to perform and encourage everyone to participate.

The wonderful staff at Our House took excellent care of my mom for the last four years of her life. She loved the staff deeply, and they loved her right back, even when she was being difficult. I know how lucky she and I were that she was able to live in such a lovely, home-like environment among so many wonderful staff and residents. I will be forever grateful to all of them! I cannot say enough good things about Our House Assisted Care in Portage!

I just would like to recommend if anybody is looking for a place to place their loved one and know that they are getting good care. This is the place. The director Dawn is awesome. The staff are friendly, gentle and love their job. I am very thankful for my mom to have a place that I can feel confident she is taken care of, and loved, at this stage of her life. I live in Florida come home every couple months and spend several days just being there all day. I have seen the care that my mother gets. I am very satisfied.

Still, after about three years, my mom is doing so well at Our House. She is well taken care of, the staff is wonderful assisting with her needs, and are very respectful. Still loving Our House! Thank you Dawn, Brandy, and all the employees!
