OUR HOUSE RICHLAND CENTER MEMORY CARE

I can't say enough about this place. From the first day I walked in to see it I knew this was where mom needed to be. The staff are fantastic and went out of there way to getting mom settled into her new home. They really do treat all the residents there like family. The activities and outings are another bonus that I wasn't even aware of until we moved mom in. If you are looking for a memory care facility for your loved ones check this place out. The only fault I wish it were closer to Platteville but the hour drive is so worth it. Thank you Our House. You can see mom is so happy!

Both my parents have received care here. They have a wonderful and caring staff! Both my parents love the care the have recieved and the home like setting. Activities allow them to stay active and the occasional day trips get them out in the community and surrounding areas.

From the very first moment that I entered the Our House Memory Care facility in Richland Center to inquire and investigate and find a memory care facility for my stepmother to come and live in which provided the care level, the trained, compassionate management and staff, a clean, immaculate, attractive, cheery living quarters and the spacious, attractive facility amenity rooms - such as the dining room, spacious visiting rooms and activity rooms, that she needs at her advanced age, I was immediately impressed and comforted by all that I saw and experienced there, immediately confident that she would feel welcomed, comfortable, safe, genuinely cared about and even loved, by the experienced and specially trained management and staff who go out of their way during their daily work to actually treat one’s elderly family member like a treasure member of their own family. The Our House Memory Care staff even put together a special birthday recognition celebration recently, including a special birthday cake, birthday crown and birthday sash and birthday wall decorations for my stepmother, who loved the experience, saying, “This (celebration) was the first time in my whole life that I have had such a special birthday celebration; I loved it!” It is also comforting to have her advise that “I really like the staff here, they go out of their way to really help me whenever I call them or need them, and I feel like they really care about me. And I enjoy very much being able to go down to the office, sit down, and talk with Daylene (Our House Memory Care Executive Director) and Trinity (Our House Memory Care Associate Executive Director) about anything I want to talk to them about. They make me feel so welcome here.”

My mom came to stay at Our House Memory Care for respite care while my family went on our summer vacation. When we returned home and I came to pick her up she refused to leave, she LOVES it here! She has a new best friend, plenty of activities to keep her engaged and she eats much better than she has been for awhile now. Her room is spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly, warm and caring. She is sleeping better and so am I without the worry of her wandering away or falling. As much as I would love to have my mom at home with me and my family, I know that the staff at Our House are more knowledgeable about her disease and better able to care for her needs than I can at home.
