Our House AL in Wausau has a great team. They go over and above to make sure the residents have the extra care and support they need. The director Stacy has created a welcoming and nurturing environment where residents truly feel at home.

My mother turned 102 after a long stint living alone in her own home. When her body started betraying her, we made the difficult decision to seek alternate care for her. With a sharp mind but a body that doesn't cooperate, it was important to find a facility that would treat her as an independent woman who simply needed help to do some day to day activities that used to come easily. She's only been here a week but after just half a day of getting used to not being in her home, mom has been gushing about how nice her room is, how attentive EVERY staff member has been to her needs, how quickly they come when she presses "the button" and the quality of the food. Carefully watching her mood as she goes through this major change, my family has seen her apprehension about her future disappear and her acceptance of what will be her final home rise. Our minds have been eased, thanks to the staff and especially the management at Our House in Wausau that has made this transition honorable, respectful and comforting. 5 stars to them all.

Recently went to check out the facility. Building was clean, staff was nice and the director was available for my questions. She is new to the building but not to her position. I did find out she has a background in social work which was nice to hear. She was able to understand our needs and knew what would be needed if we decided to move to the community.

Our house wausau is a phenomenal facility. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure the residents are taken care of. They truly care about the physical and mental well-being of their residents, and go out of their way to make the residents happy. The resident director specifically I have been impressed with! She is quick to reply to calls and emails, and ensures that the family of the residents are always updated on information. 10/10 facility, one of the best I have seen!

We brought our loved one to Our House Assisted Living about 10 months ago. Moving out of your home is not easy but the staff at Our House made this a smooth transition for him. He loves the meals and the friendships he has formed. They go on outings and do crafts and other activities. They have musicians come into entertain quite often. He says the staff are great and he calls them his sweeties. I'm so happy that all the staff who welcomed him to his new home are still there making every day great.
