OUR HOUSE WAUSAU MEMORY CARE

I am so pleased with Our House Senior Living Wausau Memory Care. The staff is knowledgeable and caring and the facility is impeccable. The director Breanna Becker has always been so professional and responsive. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for somewhere safe and loving for their loved one.

I can't say enough praise for Sarah and the staff at Our House Memory care. Moving my dad into a facility was a hard decision to make, but Our House has definitely made that decision much easier. Their personal care and attentiveness to not only my dad but the other residents as well, has truly put my mind at ease. I love seeing the personal interaction and the sincerity in getting to know each resident on a personal level. To want to know who they were before joining the Our House family. Without hesitation I can say Our House director Amanda Johnson and her exceptional team of caretakers have gone above and beyond to make our father's new home loving, caring, joyful, respectful, active and specific to his individual needs. Amanda has been incredibly helpful and a willing soundboard as we made several requests to help navigate Dad's highest level of cognitive well-being. Dad has adjusted to his new environment with ease and can say with peace of of mind he is sincerely happy, letting me know on several occasions "The people here are exceptional! They are all so kind. I'm a very lucky guy!"

Our House management was extremely welcoming and easy to work with when we moved both of my parents there in November. Staff has wonderful communication with family members, are friendly, and take very good care of their residents. We appreciate how they keep residents engaged in activities, provide wholesome meals, and care about everyone's well-being.

When my mother needed more care than my husband and I could provide we started looking at assisted living facilities. Our House Senior Living jumped to the top of the list before I’d even been there. I made a lot of phone calls to get information from different assisted living homes. Every time I called Our House a real person answered the phone. The director was very friendly, listened to my concerns, and answered my questions. Whereas some places touted the social aspect and all the fun the residents have, Our House seemed focused on quality of care. Shortly after my mother moved into Our House her sister moved in also. Although my mother’s time at Our House was brief my aunt has been there almost 3 years. She enjoys living there. She has made new friends and she loves the food. Whenever someone asks her about it, she replies, “This is a good place. They’re real nice here. And the food is real good.” Although I haven’t been able to visit during the pandemic, the director has done an excellent job of keeping families updated on what’s happening at Our House. My sister and I have been allowed to take my aunt to appointments, out for car rides, to get carry out food and eat outside all the time wearing face masks and social distancing. The director and staff really seem to care about the residents and want to provide excellent care.
