Our Promise Care Homes

very bad experience health care wise and unorganized.

I cannot say enough about Our Promise Care Home on Bay Pointe Dr., or Brian Quennville, and the staff! My mother lived at this home almost 6 months before her passing. She was having some challenges with Alzheimer's, but the staff was wonderful and tried to include her in activities they were having and spent a lot of time with her. When she didn't want to eat, they'd try everything to entice her with little treats and cheer her on when she did eat or drank. They became her friends and were wonderful caregivers. The home is clean, good meals are cooked, and the staff is always interacting with the residents. Brian is amazing and SO personable. He works hard to make sure the residents are happy and the staff well trained. My mother spent time in another care home before Our Promise and the difference was night and day. We are SO grateful we moved her to Our Promise Care Home and she was there for her final days. (I read a previous review that said there were cigarette butts all over the back porch and the place smelled musty, etc. I NEVER saw anything like that, and my mother and I often sat outside together because she loved being outside. I also visited often throughout the week. I don't understand why they wrote that review! If you're considering an Our Promise Care Home, go meet Brian, view one of their homes and decide for yourself!)

I recently worked with a family whose Mom was living in another local care home. The Mom had been there for a year and the family was not happy with the level of care and the lack of commitment to promises made to residents and families. We visited Our Promise, met Brian, the nurse, staff, residents and some family members. The family chose Our Promise. While there was an adjustment period, Brian was extremely attentive and reached out to other professionals to reevaluate medications. Today she is adjusted, happy and well cared for. There are more activities and socialization for Mom. As a professional that works with families and communities for placement, I am a raving fan of Our Promise and Brian. If ever needed, I would not hesitate moving one of my parents to Our Promise Care Home. Teresa
