OXFORD GLEN AT SACHSE

Oxford Glen is an amazing facility! The residents are well taken care of, and Tabora provides multiple interactive events each week to keep the residents engaged and happy. Story Paws: a therapy dog organization has volunteered here for over a year. From being cheerfully greeted at the front desk, to working with the aids, and bringing special events by partnering with Tabora, they are extremely professional, well organized. It is truly a great place to partner with and they are so appreciative of their volunteers.

Absolutely horrible experience here — total fraud and bullying from the staff. From the attendants to the office manager, the entire place feels chaotic and unprofessional. While visiting, I overheard attendants laughing and chanting “Bye Mean Jean! Bye!!” as one of their residents was leaving for another facility. That level of cruelty toward an elderly resident is heartbreaking and unacceptable. When my grandmother was getting ready to move back home after repairs were finished, the staff told her, “Oh, you’ll hate it there, they’ll never take care of you — we would never do that to you!” Their comments caused her a lot of fear and anxiety about leaving. It’s disturbing to see grown adults bully and manipulate people who can’t defend themselves. And to make matters worse, we later found hidden doctor charges from the office manager that were never approved by our family — and it wasn’t even an emergency. When handing you forms, they’ll just “white out” old information on forms and have you write over it. What? This place is extremely shady. I would not trust them with any loved one.

We had the privilege of attending a workshop at Oxford Glen. What an exceptional education session. I know it can be overwhelming but Niki puts everything at ease and always has your loved ones best interest at hand. Her experience speaks for itself and I’m so grateful to have crossed paths. Thank you Niki for your passion and education in long term care and helping our Senior Citizens live their best life!

Wonderful community. My mom has lived at Oxford Glen in Sachse for around 6 months. Since moving in, my mother’s quality of life has significantly improved. She is happier, more engaged, and has formed bonds with staff and fellow residents. I know my mom has Dementia, but it is still very important to me that she is and feels safe and valued. Oxford Glen has made that happen. I looked at MANY memory care communities before choosing Oxford Glen and there is absolutely no comparison. One of my favorite parts of this community is the activities ... there is always something going on. The residences are not just shoved in a corner and ignored like many of communities I visited before choosing Oxford Glen. My mom can become agitated, confused and argumentative at times (Dementia), the caregivers are so wonderful at understanding the disease and calming mom and making her feel ok. They get to know the resident and what makes them tick and how to make them have a good day. The caregivers are wonderful!! Activities are wonderful! Nurse, Executive Director and the Marketing Director are wonderful!! They are always available to reach out to if you have any concerns. I normally do not write reviews.... but I wanted to in this case. I wanted to share my feelings of Oxford Glen Sachse ...that maybe it would help a family.

I recently became primary caregiver for my aunt and couldn't be happier placing her at Oxford Glen! Her room is always kept tidy (I've never seen her bed not made). The residents have a very warm and comfortable living area that feels like a home (they even have a rather large courtyard they have access to). Always at least one staff member present in the area and it's very manageable for them- not too many residents in one area-and they're always kind and understanding with the residents. They don't require prior notice to visits and I can pop in any time! Truly a lovely home for her.
