I came to view these and the pics are DEFINITELY NOT what the property look like for real , the parking was a obstacle course of potholes , I saw one which was questionable and then BOOM went around the corner and 15 more window units ( means no central air ) the apartments look like the smell like old dirty socks and roaches , idky these apartments are open they should be condemned !!! There were tombstones on the premises meaning that people were buried there 😮 it looks likes it use to be a old retirement home or something idk but RUNNNNNNNNNN FAR AWAY DO NOT RENT HERE CAUSE WTH 🤦🏾‍♀️

First, let me start off my saying I usually don't leave reviews, but in light of recent events and falsehoods that have been told I might just be the person God sent for the job. I've been a resident of the Aventine at Skylyn since July of 2023, shortly after transitioning from Senior/Assisted Living. At the time I needed another place of residence, somewhere quiet and safe for my daughter and I to live. The Aventine fit the bill. The Property Manager at the time Stephanie took her time helping us get settled and the Maintenance guy at the time Mike was a very good worker. I saw this property as somewhere for potential growth with the right people in place. I'm a community based person, so I naturally try to look for ways to contribute, be apart of the solution not the problem. Well Stephanie and Mike didn't last too long, and I believe that maybe certain aspects of the job bothered them, so they moved on. The assistant property manager at the time was moved right into that role with the company not even trying to look for a replacement it seemed like. So obviously that had to be overwhelming. We all assumed that Kelsey was doing the best she could with the tools she was given. Fast forward a bit, the staff finally settled and Kelsey was joined by Nicky as leasing agent and Kelly as assistant property manager. They were employees that were saved from the Assisted Living side. Now what a lot of people fail to realize, there were residents left from Senior Living that were independent-ish enough to stay on their own, so it was a mix of single family, elderly, and young adults. Truthfully enough, anyone that paid close enough attention could see that there were some issues, like everywhere else. I could tell that most of these issues stemmed from the top, because at the end of the day the ladies in the office can only do what they are allowed to do. I started to notice the neighborhood was changing with the arrival of new residents. I truly believe that proper attention was not taken when deciding whether or not to allow certain characters to move in. I started to feel as though they didn't care who was coming as long as the building was getting filled. Hey, I guess at the end of the day the company saw what seemed like growth and that's all that mattered. We started to have events for the kids and little get togethers, our favorite was when we took time to celebrate certain Birthdays. Now what people didn't realize was that corporate was not funding these and the ladies did this out of pocket. Sometimes I contributed along with a few other residents, because like I said I'm community minded. The truth is it is very short staffed the apartment survives off of local vendors coming and doing work most of the time. Supplies were usually short or out of stock, trash was always an issue because they always needed payment (not the office ladies fault because they don't cut checks), residents were loud and letting kids do whatever. Fast forward again...the environment had completely changed and what thought was someone trying to help a few people not get put out on the streets turned out to be most people just deliberately not paying their bills. That was the worst thing for us all because once you get too far behind there is no recovering from it. So really, it was a setup for failure. Luckily I was able to rise out my own personal situations through my contributing nature. There are many that couldn't. We even had an issue with squatters, which has since been cleaned up. I see reviews on here by others that I'm not even sure lived here. For instance, Keyana above I believe was one of those that stayed for a night or two after Hurricane Helene. I hope she wasn't one of them rumored to not bring back the key. So we now have a new Property Manager in Kelly and her assistant is Super Resident Mary Klein. They do the best they can even though obstacles are placed in front of them by others that want to spin their own narrative. I'm here to tell you, don't believe everything you hear/read. Find out for yourself.

I have lived here for over seven years. The management staff lead by Kelsey, together with hard working support of Nicki and Kelly is sanity at its best. They together with a maintenance group that does not know how to say "no" to the residents requests makes life very comfortable. Altogether they make a staff who should be teaching how to run such a complex to new employees of the corporation. In that manner the complaint box can be and should be thrown out.

My father moved in in September 2023 with hopes this would be home for years to come, but it only took a few months for it to go downhill. The medical staff is caring and supportive of residents but the owners and management could not care less about the residents. Recently there has been a bed bug infestation that went on uncontrolled for weeks. The families of the residents were not notified of this. Several of the residents and the manager had Covid so the facility was locked down. The families again the families were not notified and DEHEC was not notified either. The new owners decided to rent the independent living apartment. No notification was sent to the families about this decision. Pacifica has not provided any security for the residents of the assisted living. The individuals from the apartments freely roam the halls and use the facility as a short cut to get to Family Dollar. When I confronted Kim, the manager, about the security issue she informed me there were no plans to hire a security guard and the residents of the apartments were not a threat to the residents or staff. I have moved my father to a more secure facility in February. I fear for the residents still there since they are vulnerable individuals and the staff since they are there at night with no protection
