My father was in there for 3 months from rehab to hospice care. Everyone was very helpful especially the nurses aide Angelica who was just a family member providing great care and every personal detail. The nurses Tina and Narelle were also very helpful and on top of things. The only issue we had was with the laundry, they kept misplacing my fathers clothes. Overall very satisfied and highly recommend this place.

I’ve thought a lot about writing this review because I know there are hardworking people at this facility, but I HAVE TO SPEAK UP. What happened to my mom and me was UNACCEPTABLE. Please, do NOT trust the 5-star reviews or consider this place for your loved ones. My mom, who has Alzheimer’s, stayed here for a week over Christmas, and they said she had behavior problems at night. I’ve been taking care of her BY MYSELF for three years—UNPAID AND ALONE. It’s already hard enough, but for them to act like MY MOM IS THE PROBLEM? That’s NOT OKAY. The admissions director scheduled a visit with my mom and me for 2:30 PM. I planned to drive over, but the director said they would come to us. I even walked my dog earlier to make sure I’d be ready. But 2:30 PM came, and NO ONE SHOWED UP. I waited ALL DAY, confused. When I called the social worker, she told me someone DID COME—at 1:30 PM, NOT 2:30 PM LIKE WE AGREED. Apparently, the admissions director came to my home AN HOUR EARLY, WALKED IN WITHOUT PERMISSION, and tried to make my mom use the bathroom. MY MOM DOESN’T KNOW THIS PERSON, and with Alzheimer’s, of course, she got upset! How could they JUST BARGE IN like that? AND THEY NEVER EVEN CALLED TO TELL ME THEY WERE AT MY HOME. WHO DOES THAT? Then, they tried to GASLIGHT ME, as if I WAS IN THE WRONG for being upset about the whole thing! I’M NOT EVEN PROPERLY TRAINED like the staff, but I can do a FAR BETTER JOB than they can. I’ve watched other nurses do a better job, too. So don’t believe them when they say their staff is "properly trained." I MEAN, HELL, I read a review where a woman’s mother was left lying on the floor ALL DAY while the nurses were laughing it up in the corner! How can you trust a place like that? Look I can't speak for everyone there. There are some lovely nurses & people there. I don't blame everyone. Taking care of the elderly can be mentally exhausting. However to upper management you have ABSOLUTELY no justification in treating us how you did. overall, The Admissions Director who visited treated us so UNPROFESSIONALLY. PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY before trusting them with your loved ones.

Such an amazing team at Park Place! The social worker here is great with patients and families. The director of nursing department is responsive to needs and is excellent in coordinating care! We love Park Place! It's 1 of the BEST around!!

Park Place has been the home for my mother beginning March 2022. Our experience has been nothing but wonderful. The staff seems to be happy, nurses are happy, residents are happy, it's a real nice place. The food is excellent, my mom really enjoys it. They recently came under new management, (owners), and it seems that things are even better now. Time will tell, but for now, we are happy with our choice for mom. This is an update to the above post. Things are still going great with Mom at Park Place. She seems happy with lots of things to do and has made several friends. We have got to know the staff better and are still pleased with the service and care they provide. There is one small concern, there is a small service room close to my moms room. It has a floor drain below a mop sink. For quite some time we have been smelling strong sewer gas when we visit mom. Its not every time but it is often. I think the trap in the floor gets dried out and allows the sewer gas to come out. I have talked with them about keeping that trap filled with water and it gets better for awhile , but then gets bad again. Even with this concern, I give them five stars as they are really trying hard to care for our loved ones.

I recently moved to Georgetown and needed a facility for my sister who had a stroke last December. Moving her to Park Place is the best thing I could have done. There is no comparison to where I moved her from. Kind, professional and caring from the Administrator JP to all of the staff. Nursing, Aides, Activities Director, Social Worker, Therapists and Kitchen. The food is good and the residents are friendly. It is such a relief to me for my sister to be happy at Park Place. Also, it is clean clean clean!!
