My Dad got sent here for rehab after having surgery. I chose this place after visiting with Victoria and getting a tour. I was needing a facility quickly to put my Dad in for rehab. He was put into the skilled nursing side. He had a catheter up on entering. My dad has been dealing with some cognitive issues as he has had ongoing UTIs as well and two bladder surgeries. He pulled his catheter out and they had to redo it. He also was ready to go home and packed his bags to go so they put him over in the memory care unit where he couldn’t escape. We were in utter shock of how this side of the facility was run. We felt so bad for everyone over there. My dad did not want to be on that side and wanted to go back to his other room they would not allow him to. I was with him on all day Friday and he told me he didn’t feel well and wanted to go back to bed which I thought was strange because that is not my dad at all. He slept on and off while I sat with him…. He kept telling me he needed to go to the bathroom but he had a catheter in and I said dad you have a catheter and then he’d shake his head OK…. So I went to tell the nurse she came to check on him and we noticed his belly was bulging so she pushed on his belly and he said he was in pain. She moved quickly and said we need to get his catheter changed…. I guess the one he had in got clogged. Three nurses came in to change out his catheter. It took them 45 minutes to do so. We were going to push fluids and keep an eye on the catheter after three hours nothing was in the catheter I ran and said something is wrong…. The nurse came in she pulled back the covers and my dad was soaked in the bed. If I had not been there that entire day with him I don’t know what would’ve happened he would’ve laid there in urine because he was soaked with a diaper on and it was fully soaked. I got very upset and I said you guys didn’t put the catheter in right or this wouldn’t have happened. The nurse went to call the doctor to find out what they need to do as my dad’s belly was very bulged which meant his bladder was full! They decided they need to send him to the ER. It took another hour for transport to show up which that guy was awesome! I followed the transport over to the ER they got him in a room immediately and when they did the bladder scan he had 1000 mL of urine in his bladder. His bladder was extended all the way up to his stomach. He was in a lot of pain…. They had to drain his bladder and put in a new catheter. Needless to say we did not go back!!!! The office staff was great dealing with Vi and Lisa as well as Victoria. But the rest of the staff unfortunately failed us!!! We have never had to use a facility for my dad before until this moment. They were supposed to be rated five stars unfortunately I cannot give them but a one. The whole nursing staff needs major education on how to insert the catheter. I would not suggest this facility to anyone. That’s very unfortunate! I would like to thank Vi, Lisa, and Victoria for their services though. I had called and left a message for the PT manager to check to see how my dad’s PT was going and she never once called me back. I Typically don’t do reviews but I felt like this needed to be said. Be careful about putting your family member in memory care in this facility.

Excellent social worker, Lisa! She saved us when we were trying to transfer to our new home area and therefore a new rehab. God blessed us with her and many caring people.
