This community has gone downhill. All the management team quit when the new director took over, and the replacements are not as attentive. They go through employees quickly due to burnout most of the staff we loved when we would visit my aunt are gone. I've heard staff complain about how they are treated. People here are going through the motions, and the building is outdated. I really wish the employees here had more training to handle the people who live here. Management leaves early and are hard to reach. I'm so disappointed because this used to be such an active community and I only see them with heads on tables or watching tv. I'm shocked no one else has spoken up yet.

We took a tour of Poet's Walk and were very impressed by the staff and facilities. It has a very warm feel to it and everyone we met along the way made us feel right at home. Currently mom is in an AL facility so we are checking out places for when she needs MC and Poet's Walk will the place for her when the time is right.

I am beyond impressed with Poet's Walk Memory Care Community! From the moment I stepped into the community, Kassaundra gave us an amazing tour and was able to answer all of our questions. She is really passionate about helping families. The management team is dedicated, compassionate, and always attentive to the needs of residents. Their commitment to providing a safe and loving environment is evident in everything they do. The level of care provided to the residents is truly outstanding. The nursing team is top-notch, ensuring that each resident's medical needs are met with professionalism and warmth. They take the time to get to know each individual, offering personalized care that truly makes a difference. What sets Poet's Walk apart is the wide variety of fun and engaging activities they offer. From arts and crafts to music therapy and interactive games, the residents are constantly engaged in activities that promote socialization, creativity, and cognitive health. It's clear that the team goes above and beyond to ensure the residents are not only well cared for but also enjoying their time and feeling connected. I wholeheartedly recommend Poet's Walk Memory Care Community to anyone looking for a place where loved ones can thrive in a supportive and vibrant environment. The combination of exceptional leadership, excellent care, and enjoyable activities makes it a five-star community in every way.

Poets Walk is a very nice place. My friend that just moved in seems happy and since she’s shy, is always encouraged to participate in all activities. ALL staff, care partners, and Activity Life enrichment team working directly with the residents are excellent and are very loving toward the residents. They just seem to be a little understaffed, like most places these days. Maintenance is good, not that we have needed them, and set up my friends TV when we couldn’t. Meals look good and residents seem to enjoy their food. I’m not sure about evenings as I’m usually here until supper. Front staff are very friendly especially when she moved in. Unfortunately we never did get to meet the Executive Director. 🤔

My mother has been living at Poet's Walk for several months. Since a recent change in ownership and management, there has been noticeable improvement in the quality of care and staffing consistency. The caregivers and activities teams are amazing! All of the employees are getting to know my mom's likes and dislikes, and though she is shy, they are able to get her engaged and involved. I highly recommend this facility for mobile and active individuals needing memory care.
