PORTSIDE AT GRANDE DUNES

Can’t begin to say how thankful I am that a community like Portside at Grande Dunes exists. My dad had a fall that resulted in a brain bleed and a fractured femur. After weeks of rehabilitation at Grand Strand he was going to be released to go home in a wheelchair for 6 weeks of nonweight baring limitations. However, the house my parents live in is not set up for a wheelchair. We were able to secure a place for him at Portside for respite care. It was a God send for our family. The staff was so accommodating and helpful in managing his care while he was there. It was bittersweet when he left to come home. Grateful he was able to come home but leaving the security of knowing someone was looking out for him 24/7 was rough. Those of you dealing with aging parents know the difficulties of caring for parents who are determined to maintain their independence in their house while you are doing all you can to protect them. It’s a constant struggle. Thanks to the staff and all those who came in contact with my dad while he was there. You were lifesavers!

Portside at Grande Dunes is a full service facility for Seniors, allowing easy transitions between Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. The staff is so caring and helps to make the residents feel comfortable and cared for. My parents started in Independent then moved to Assisted, and then my Mom was in Memory Care for 10 months. The first floor care givers and med techs in Assisted Living were wonderful to my parents, caring and making them feel at home. I can't say enough about the staff in Memory Care, so compassionate, thoughtful and helpful. It's not an easy job, and the staff there take pride in what they do. There are too many to name, but I thank each and every one for their kindness and compassion for my Mom and my family. My wife and I recently toured Portside at Grand Dunes. What an amazing tour was provided by Lauren Wolf. She provided a wealth of information about Independent Living at Portside. Her knowledge of the industry and the community, facility, amenities and social connections was very evident prior to, and throughout the tour. Everything Lauren described was verified as we toured all aspects of the community. We happened to be there when happy hour was beginning. The real-time picture of the residents and social interaction was exciting to see. The bar has been set by the Portside community. We were very excited to capture a vision of the life style that could be ours in the future. Thank you Lauren for your exellence in presenting your community.

My mom will be moving in soon and up until this time we have had a great, fabulous experience with the staff and the other residents at Portside. Portside at the Dunes is luxury living at its best. Everyone has been just wonderful, we really look forward to my mom having great next chapter living at the Dunes.

My mom recently moved into Portside, and overall, it has been a very positive experience for both her and our family. The staff has been warm, welcoming, and attentive, which really helped make the transition easier. The community itself is bright and inviting, with well-kept common areas and a calm, comfortable atmosphere. My mom especially enjoys the activities and social opportunities, which have helped her feel more connected and engaged.
