When it came time to place my husband in assisted living, I visited several facilities. The moment I walked into Presidential Place in Hollywood, Florida, and met with the social worker, I immediately felt welcomed and confident that my husband would be well cared for. Once he became a resident, I found peace in watching how the staff interacted, not only with him but also with each other. They were warm, friendly, and genuinely caring, creating an atmosphere where every resident was treated with respect and personal attention. The food was another wonderful surprise. One evening, Presidential Place graciously hosted a dinner for ten of my husband’s friends to help him feel comfortable and surrounded by familiar faces. Everyone was amazed at how delicious the meal was. Day to day, the dining experience continued to impress, with a variety of tasty options. There were also daily activities for residents, something for every interest and ability. When my husband’s needs changed, and he had to move from assisted living to memory care, the staff handled every detail. They ensured his new room was ready and welcoming, making the transition as smooth as possible. I was consistently impressed with every aspect of care. On especially difficult days, the administrators and staff met us with compassion and understanding. I felt at home there and experienced great relief knowing my husband was in good hands. I highly recommend Presidential Place to anyone seeking assisted living or memory care.

The staff at Presidential Place is amazing. They are unbelievably kind and patient with everyone. The place has a friendly homey vibe and they care a lot of what the residents think of the food. I ate there this past Father's Day with my mom and they had a special menu of NY Strip or Shrimp and Scallops - I was very impressed. Their regular menu always includes fresh salad and vegetables. My mom has been a resident at Presidential Place for a year and a half and initially improved quite a bit from when she first moved in. They are very good about engaging the residents in their daily exercise classes, word games and social activities. And her neurologist said engaging someone with Dementia mentally, physically and socially gives them the best quality of life. I'm reviewing the facility now because my mom recently declined and needed extra help with daily incontinence, getting to meals, showering and dressing. The entire staff was great helping me navigate this and helping my mom with her increased needs. I'm really glad we moved her in when she was just beginning to need help. She had begun falling and was unable to get herself up off the floor. Burners were left on. She had to give up driving. Shopping, cooking and laundry were all getting too much for her. I just felt she wasn't safe on her own anymore. At first she didn't think she needed to be there. But I'm glad the staff got to know her fiesty personality and that she got the routine and her surroundings locked into her long term memory. I think it makes this new phase easier than it would have been. She really likes the staff and feels she is in a 4-5 star hotel. She loves that someone else does all the shopping, cooking, cleaning and laundry. She feels like this is her personal staff. With the Presidential team (Kenn, Veronique, Lameshia, Brianna, Gladys, Erica, Ashely and all of the servers and aides) helping meet her needs we both sleep better. Not only is she happy, but I'm not so burnt out trying to do everything; I get to be her loving daughter again. Thank you Presidential - you are a Godsend.

Posting an update to my initial post from 2 1/2 years ago, for those considering this community or any other Assisted Living residence. Rapidly increasing monthly costs and turnover in leadership (3 Executive Directors in less than 3 years) is very concerning. My mom’s fragile financial situation was explained to management upon moving her into the community but each time leadership changes it has to be explained again. Her finances comfortably covered the costs, initially. With recent increases, that is no longer the case. I understand that it’s a business and retaining the best staff requires inreases in salary and benefits. However, I was assured that the “aging in place” philosophy is valued at Presidential Place. This was a major part of our family’s decision to move her here. We didn’t anticipate that it would happen so soon after moving in. She is finally content, has made friends and the employees here do a good job supporting her. Praying for compassion and understanding to work through this situation. Had to move my mother with very short notice. Kenn and the staff at Presidential Place helped every step of the way, understanding our needs and providing the best support. My mother is now very happy in her new home and I could not have asked for a more positive experience!

My mom was a resident for one and a half years until her passing. The staff at presidential made my moms last years a productive and happy one. The staff is beyond attentive and caring in every way possible. My mom was always dressed beautifully and cared for with dignity and loving people who truly care about the people and their jobs. I will miss all the fabulous caretakers at presidential place They made my mom always feel like she was at home .
