If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the worst care facility I have ever encountered. My grandfather has suffered significant mental and emotional harm simply from being here. The administration appears completely disorganized, and the way my family, especially my grandmother, has been treated is appalling. My grandfather has been at this facility for nearly three months. And only recently completed a care plan meeting and interview with a new social worker, and shortly after, the former administrator (who no longer works there) decided to involve the Nebraska State Ombudsman, claiming my grandfather is capable of making all medical and legal decisions on his own. As a result, our family’s existing Power of Attorney was revoked, and we were completely cut off from involvement in his care. Despite having legal representation, this continues to be an unresolved issue. The administration is incompetent, the staff is unprofessional, and the medical documentation is the worst I have ever seen from a healthcare facility. State guidelines are not being followed. What was meant to be a place of care has become a nightmare for our family. My grandfather cannot safely return home due to his health; he is a danger to himself and others, yet this facility has only worsened his condition. The emotional, physical, and mental toll this place has taken on my entire family is immeasurable. If I had the ability to shut this facility down, I would. Do not send a loved one here. If you care about them at all, look elsewhere. Please. Update 02/04: An administrator was let go and several staff members left since this post. I hope this makes a drastic impact for the better at this facility.

Prestige Care Center of Nebraska City truly has a warm, family-like atmosphere. The staff are passionate and dedicated to providing high-quality, loving care to every resident!

I would not recommend this facility for you loved ones. My son was sent there and they were not prepared for his arrival, they didn’t have the supplies he needed. The nurses do a great job, the facility in understaffed l staffed so patients have to wait long time for their call button to be answered. My son was discharged and facility did not go over discharge paperwork with the family and the parer work was thrown in a trash bag with the medication. I have called back to get support on wound care and no response, prescription should have been called into new pharmacy and they only send in medication summary report. Remember if you have to send your love ones to the facility, please make sure they have a guardian. The facility lives on. The client is their own person, meaning that the has to reach out and ask for care. Go to the courthouse and get proper paperwork so you came make sure everything is being done. Again I would not send your loved ones to this facility, they should be helping the client and not just have them their to get a paycheck.

Great facility for our staff. They work hard on creating a positive community for the residents, families and team members!

Skilled and LTC facility, with memory care unit and assisted living apartments available. Full service therapy department with PT, OT, and ST services. Skilled nursing services such as IV therapy and wound care are offered. A good place to rehabilitate after a surgery or hospital stay.
