How are you going to be a home for the elderly… but have a broken elevator. People are paying good money to live there and a good amount cannot use the stairs safely.

My aunt has been there for a year & seems very happy. I went & visited today, and most everything was very clean & orderly. I stayed for dinner and while it was simple, it was nice quality ham, sweet potatoes & peas. I was warmly welcomed by staff & offered a beverage & dessert as well. 2 gals at our table had different options for dinner, so they seemed to accomodate for different needs or preference. A sweet gal came in & played piano during dinner. They had cheery decorations up celebrating the season and a full schedule of activities to choose from. My aunt's room was roomy enough. She made friends quickly and they are really a hoot to sit with! The only negative things I saw were 1) the outside of my aunt's room were quite dirty, with dust & spider webs, and 2) a guest bathroom wasn't tidy. The grounds were very pretty & peaceful.

For educational purposes only: If you bring your family members here, their health will soon decline under the guise of final days but that's not entirely it, theyre severely understaffed. And the staff they do have has a no care attitude that stems from the director herself. Make sure you stay for the food and to meet each and every caregiver that will be on your floor. People only go see the facility but Never the people running it. Be careful and do some research.
