When our family was forced to find housing for our mother close to the Mayo to facilitate her treatment, it was a confusing and stressful time. We toured many homes, but knew as soon as we met Maria that we had found the best choice. We were impressed with her personal story, the commitment of her caregivers who have been working for her for five years, and her immediate warmth and love. The home is welcoming, the price was incredibly reasonable, and the willingness to go above and beyond was immediately evident. Mom loved her home and her caregivers as much as they loved her. In her final days as she was hospitalized, Maria and her staff visited her in the hospital. Everyone I spoke with at the hospital was amazed by this. We have come to think of them as our family. One word describes A Better Choice AL, which is kindness. The owner & the staff are all so kind. I have a loved one who's been living there for about 6 months. I visit every few days & no matter who is working or what time I come, I find a patient & warm caregiver. The house is kept clean & residents are are treated with understanding & dignity.

I am so fortunate to have found this home for my 93 year old father who has dementia. The care and genuine love you feel when you walk in the door is palpable. He has been with this home almost a year, and there has been NO turnover in staff. This is highly unusual in this industry. Most of the homes I visited, or considered could not keep experienced staff for long. But the owner of A Better Choice treats employees with respect, and kindness. It’s more like a family than any other facility I considered. Communication between the staff and all the families is exceptional. I always know how my father is doing. I stop in at least 3 times a week, and welcomed by all. If you are looking for a home for your loved one, I highly encourage you to make an appointment to visit the facility before they are full.
