We moved my parents and another relative to a newer senior care community on Cleveland Avenue in New Berlin when Regency removed senior-friendly services like call cords and on-site assisted living. The admissions coordinator at the Regency is wonderful, the director in our experience is not. The Regency is a much larger venue than my parents current facility (hundreds of apartments vs. 55). The costs are comparable, noting at the time we left, Regency did not offer call buttons, 4 hours of included care weekly, and a meal included daily as is in place at their current facility. Cultures are very different between facilities. My parents are much more engaged in their present situation, and staff - all whom my parents know and who know my oarents by name - will do everything from bringing their mail and packages to their room, to helping them up if they fall, to doing light cleaning in their apartment/laundry for free. To each their own, we have found the right fit we feel best suites the needs of our parents. The niche of the Regency seems to be a place for completely independent seniors, whereas others are better suited for seniors a few years off from assisted living, who appreciate more personalized care, beautiful amenities, and the intimacy of a smaller but vibrant community with assisted living, memory care, PT, OT, and optional medical services on site.

It is a very nice place, everybody is friendly. You meet new people and there always activities to do. Management goes out of there way to accomodate anything that is needed. The food is excellent and I would recommend their food to anyone. I love my apartment and my neighbors. We have wing meetings and keep everyone up to date so everyone always knows what is going on. This is a wonderful place to live. We enjoy life here!

I took my grandma here for a tour and we were both genuinely impressed. The place feels warm and thoughtfully laid out, not sterile or depressing like some senior communities can be. The staff took their time with us, answered questions honestly, and made my grandma feel comfortable instead of rushed or “sold to,” which mattered a lot. They appeared to be getting a brand new kitchen remodel so that really showed they care about food safety and the health of their residents. Overall, it felt like a place where people are actually cared for, not just housed. My grandma left smiling, and that says more than any brochure ever could.

It was a difficult decision to leave our house but Regency has made it so easy. We felt at home the minute we moved in. The activities and extremely friendly people make it a very easy transition. Activities everyday, including a weekly church service. Come check it out, you won't be sorry!

I have now been here 8 years. My husband and I moved in 2017. He has since passed away. I absolutely love it, I can entertain, and have so much room. There are so many activities here that keep me busy. The exercise program is fabulous as they have classes Monday through Friday. There is wonderful music that comes in at night. Our bus takes us to stores, scenic drives, and more. The resident led activities are the best; bingo, dart ball, card games daily and nightly. Anyone can get involved in the card games. Our new dining room provides excellent food options. Comfort Keepers now have an office and are here Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays and assist with many things. There is so much opportunities to enjoy life! There is also an amazing wood shop for the men to make their craft projects. Underground heated parking is included. The puzzle room has hundreds of puzzles that can keep you busy. The theater is awesome for movie night and in the Regency Club we watch the sports games on the big screen tv. So much fun to be had. If you are looking for an Independent Living community this is the place to be!
