To say Pruitt Place is a caring and thoughtful senior living facility is truly an understatement. I am a local pastor that shares with the seniors on a weekly basis. Whenever I come, residents are always well attended to and seem to be ready to face the challenges of their days. The calendar is colorful and full of activities. There is even literally a red carpet when you enter, which is indicative of their red carpet treatment. I am very appreciative of the kindness of the executive team members as well as the staff, as they are always senior focused and visitor sensitive. THANK YOU PRUITT PLACE for being a wonderful addition to the Winston-Salem senior community and beyond.

Both of my parents are at this facility. The staff has enveloped my parents and myself with care and compassion. The facility is clean and the residents are well cared for. If there is an issue, it has been taken care of quickly and efficiently. I live out of state and felt very comfortable leaving my parents at Forest Heights.

My Mother was a resident at Forest Heights for the past five years. She passed away at 99 a few weeks ago. I always knew how loved she was by the staff; however, her passing really proved how much they loved her. They held a memorial for her and all the staff spoke of what a blessing she was to them. Many staff members commented on how she was like a grandmother to them. I noticed on my visits that the staff treated all the residents with that same love and compassion. The few concerns I ever had were addressed immediately. They hold regular resident meetings where the residents can voice their concern as well. I always liked that Mom had her own voice in matters. As for the facility itself, it is clean and a very pleasant atmosphere. The meals looked good and there were always choices which was a bonus for Mom, who was a very picky eater. Forest Heights is a very special place and I am so glad my Mom was able to spend her last years surrounded by such wonderful people that in many ways became extended family.

My mother had been at Forest Heights for the past year. The staff seem to be very friendly and caring toward her. If we’ve had any issues/concerns with staff members, we could always address it with management and they would resolve any issue. They always follow up with me either by calls, emails or mail communication with family member has been outstanding. I can call staff leaders any time on duty or not and she will make sure my mom’s needs are taken care of. Most staff members there are true advocates for their residents. Transportation needs to medical appointments, for residents, have been extremely helpful since I work full time. When my mother doesn’t feel well, the staff will bring her meals to her. The Chef has been great to add the residents favorites to the menu, mom normally is pleased with her meals. The Activities team always makes sure mom is invited to group activities. Mom has addressed concerns about the facility being short staffed for the amount of residents per floor. Recently we have noticed that there has been only one CNA on the floor which creating much longer wait times for residents who need extra assistance like my mom, in the morning and at bedtime if she calls out.

I walked into Forest Heights to take a look around. I was immediately greeted by a wonderful English fellow named Richard. He was very pleasant and I could tell by the way he addressed the residents that walked off the elevator that he really cared about them. He walked back and brought out the Sales Director, Lisa. She was dressed impeccably, had a wonderful, sunny disposition. We went to her office and I was immediately offered refreshments and a packet of information. Lisa asked thoughtful questions and was very empathetic to my situation. While we were touring, she stopped to help several residents which I thought was just wonderful considering she is in sales, not resident care. She explained after we returned to her office that the managers see their community as the residents home in which they are visitors. The residents obviously feel very comfortable coming to any of the managers for help and the managers are happy to stop what they are doing for them. That is the way a senior living community should be! I was extremely impressed with Forest Heights and will be moving my mother in at the end of this month! Thank you Lisa and Richard for being so attentive to the residents and their guests! I've been to several other places and I have to say, everyone was nice to me, but that extra care I saw Lisa and Richard give to the residents is what matters most and that is what swayed my decision to move my mom in.
