For two months, my 80-year-old mother was embraced by this wonderful care home on Forest Avenue and our gratitude runs deep. From the moment she arrived, she was surrounded by love, grace, and kindness in a safe and nurturing environment. The highest standard of care was evident every day. The excellent staff treated her with compassion, patiently and respectfully attending to her needs while honoring her independence —that’s personalized care at its best! Her furnished private room was impressive (spotless and modern) and opened out to a welcoming backyard with a quiet charm, perfect for fresh air, gentle walks, and sipping tea alone or with visiting family and friends. The outdoor space felt very much like her own backyard, and the wide, open paths made it easy and safe for her to move around. Pruneridge Residential Care Home became a sanctuary for my mother’s rehabilitation, giving our whole family peace of mind and comfort during a challenging time. I highly recommend this care home to anyone seeking exceptional care wrapped in warmth and dignity.

My mother has multiple health problems that made full time care necessary in the fall of 2018. She's been at Pruneridge House since then. The house is in a lovely residential area. These are the nicest people. When I send mom a package, they thank me before they put her on the phone. I can tell they truly care that the residents are as happy as possible. Update August 2025. Just a quick update that my mother is still at this facility and still receiving the same excellent care.

I'm writing for my uncle. He really liked the facility saying that it was always kept clean. He said that they were really kind to him and helpful when he needed. Even though he was only there for 2 months, he was happy with his stay. Thank you for taking care of him.
Special Move
Very nice and accommodating facility. I had an aunt stay for just over 2 months while she recovered from an injury. Staff (caregivers) were always so nice and made sure that all of the basic needs of my aunt were attended to. The owner is also very friendly and she is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure all of your concerns are addressed.

Don’t bring your loved one! Especially if they have higher needs. Brought mom here in Jan. 2020, brought her out 5 weeks later. My mom is recovering from a stroke, need 5-10mins of stretching of her paralyzed side 2x a day, as well regular PT / OT. Was promised by the director and caregivers that the regular caregivers could do the 2x a day 5-10 min. stretches and hired another caregiver from the same company to do 1 hr exercises the days I couldn’t do so. Mom doesn’t speak much, but her memory is good and she let me know that none of the staff were helping her w/ either the 5min stretches, exercises and often even forgot to take out her dentures, brush her teeth or place her C-Pap machine on. Residents are taken to their bed as early as 5:30pm, staying in bed 14-16 hours at a time. Only meaningful activity is the ocasional Bingo game during the day, otherwise, all sitting in front of the TV for hours, zero conversation and often w/ out even water at their side. I was there often, and should have found mom a better alternative immediately when the second day there staff had given mom medication that was not hers. Once she tried getting out of bed and fell because she was so tired of calling out for help at night and not being attended to. The male staff even gave my mom the middle finger after she complained that she didn’t want him around when going to the bathroom. I spoke to the director on several occasions who assured me she would speak w/ staff, but nothing changed. She continues to defend and make excuses for her staff, when really she should be protecting her residents who are truly the ones who need advocacy and protection.
