My husband recently spent about 4 weeks at Querencia/ Austin TX for some rehab after a brief hospital stay. We were very impressed with the level & quality of care that he received by all the staff - nursing, physical therapy, dietary, activities, etc. the staff members were very attentive to both my husband and myself with any questions or concerns that we voiced. Physical therapy dept was excellent! The skilled nursing section is spacious with private rooms and very clean and bright. The food was very good and we were able to choose in advance from very extensive menu options based on personal food preferences. All in all it was a very good experience and I would recommend Querencia to anyone needing skilled nursing care. As a nurse reviewing the experience it was one of best facilities I have experienced personally! Thank you to all the staff - especially Katherine, Marissa, & Thia in PT, Jadelyn, Xenon, Maxi, Ricardo, & Ken in nursing section, & Carol in the activities area! You all made the experience much better for my husband!

Wow, I was blown away by this community! I had high standards because of their reputation and I was not disappointed. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the interior is obviously professionally designed. Don’t even get me started on the food, delicious! A big thanks to Dorothy and Marlen for showing me around, they are a pleasure to work with.

After much thought, and consideration, our family decided to move our father, now in his mid 80s, into the Querencia At Barton Creek Senior Living Community. Amy Janak, our main contact point at the Querencia, was and is an extra extraordinary, caring and proactive resource for my father and family. We could not be more pleased with her and the full Querencia Team in helping this difficult decision to be a smooth transition. Their recommendation of Essential Next Steps as the coordinating and moving company could not have been more valuable. Owners, Leah and Jon along with their team were invaluable and exceptional, in helping us with the decision of what to take, how to move it and setting up dad’s new apartment in a manner that was as familiar for him as possible. Dad has now been there just short of a month and settling in well. We could not be more grateful and pleased with how things are going.

My husband and I have been here at Corencia for a year and a half and are very happy with it. People here, some having been here since it was built 19 years ago, have been very friendly, and it’s almost like joining a big family. There are lots of different exercise classes, a large number of games, educational courses, outings and all kinds entertainment during the day and also in the evenings. For those who have a loved one needing care there is a separate building for assisted living, nursing or memory care. It is attached to the independent living building by an indoor corridor that allows visitors anytime of day and night. In all, Corencia has everything we could possibly want, and we love being here.

We have lived at Querencia for almost 3.5 years and know that moving here was a good decision for us. Here are some of the factors that make us confident. Interesting and welcoming community. We felt instantly at home. Well - conceived and well-maintained facility. The fitness center and pool are great. Offers a wide variety of activities and we participate in several. A great staff across the board. Finally, we know several couples where one of them had to move to assisted living or memory care. It is a difficult time but what a blessing to be close at hand and to know that your loved one is well cared for. Ann & Gary
