RAMONA SENIOR MANOR

Ramona Senior Manor is a lovely place for my Grandma who needs a safe, caring, and very attentive environment 24/7. When we walked in the first time to check things out, my uncle took in a deep breath and said, “Mmm, It smells like breakfast!” It felt like we were walking into a warm family home. Now that she’s lived there this last year and I have visited more than 100 times, I can say that’s the case. I have a hard time describing the people who work there as staff. First, there’s very little employee turn over and this core of caregivers really invested the time to learn about her preferences, her moods, and sense of humor right at the beginning. When I come in the door someone always pulls up an extra chair by her for me as I’m signing in. Then they usually have an endearing story to share with me about their interactions with her. Similarly, they let me know if she’s struggling with something and are quick to offer suggestions/steps to take to improve her comfort. Their communication is excellent. She is social by nature, and they keep her out of her room and in the common area with almost 20 other residents all day so there’s plenty of company in addition to the 3-4 caregivers watching out for her. The residents have morning exercises as a group after breakfast, and even nap or watch movies together in recliners after lunch. There is a wide array of visitors too, people bringing in beloved pets and children, a testament to their welcoming environment. As a community we are really blessed to have Ramona Senior Manor available for our seniors and their families.

10 stars are not enough!!! My 94 year old mom had a stroke and was at RSM for a year and a half. The loving care they provided my mom started at the top with the owner, Jim. The intake process by Jim and the staff was easy and I was met with tremendous empathy. They have clearly been doing this work a long time and understand how difficult it is to put a loved one in a "facility." But, this is not just a facility; it is home, or as close to it as one can get. The staff provided my mom with loving care far beyond my expectations! I noticed they become very attached and protective of each and every resident (as did I), providing them top-level care. The first time I walked into RSM was at Thanksgiving and the room was filled with the smell of turkey and all the fixings, a very homey feeling. Their chef is fantastic and meals are restaurant quality. This facility is not too big and not too small. There is a lot happening when you walk through the door. Conversations, laughter and life fill the room. Then the individual rooms jet out like spokes from the grand gathering area providing a lot of privacy. My mom passed a few days ago. I will be forever grateful for the loving care she received at RSM in her final days.

Our mom has been a resident of RSM for a year now, after suffering a brain injury from a fall. She was in pretty bad shape when she arrived, from a lengthy stay in a skilled nursing facility. We chose RSM because it’s close to family and proves the levels of care that mom needed. I’m happy to say she is much improved after receiving wonderful care from the staff. Jim Jamil, the owner, if very kind and always available to the family for any questions or concerns. The shining stars though are the nurses and aides that care for our mom. They are incredibly giving, caring and protective. We could not ask for better people to care for our mom.

My Mother was a resident at Ramona Senior Manor for a few months. The staff was attentive, and kind, they treated my Mom with respect and cared for her with attention to the various medical problems she was experiencing. The staff also communicated with me on a daily basis regarding her condition, this was so appreciated. This facility also works closely with Hospice which was a plus for my Mom. I had a very positive experience with Ramona Senior Manor, their staff and owner Jim.

My Mom is a current resident at Ramona Senior Manor. The owner, and staff have always treated my Mother with high priority, respect, and care, as if family. They are positive, attentive, and helpful with their residents and their family. They keep their atmosphere comfortable and inviting, like home. I am forever grateful for their compassion and care.
