Our brother-in-law moved into Redwood Heights Assisted Living in August of this year. After an extensive search for the best assisted living community in the Salem, Oregon area, our family chose Redwood Heights — and we are so glad we did. From the moment you walk in, the community feels welcoming and bright. The main common areas are filled with natural light and large windows, allowing residents to enjoy the beauty of their outdoor surroundings. The apartments are very nice, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. What truly sets Redwood Heights apart, however, is the staff. They are exceptional — attentive, responsive, and genuinely caring. They consistently go above and beyond to meet our brother-in-law’s needs, and it is clear that the residents are treated with dignity, kindness, and respect. During the holidays, the staff went all out to ensure residents felt celebrated and included. For both Thanksgiving and Christmas, they hosted beautifully organized dinners for residents and their guests, complete with full-course meals and dessert. The Christmas celebration was especially memorable, featuring mimosas, Christmas carolers, and a trio of young girls singing carols and playing the violin. The entire staff worked incredibly hard to make the evening festive and meaningful for everyone. We’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Jenny, the Executive Director, and many members of her team over the past several months. The entire staff is compassionate, dedicated, and hardworking, and it shows in every interaction. Most importantly, our brother-in-law is happy. He loves the environment, truly enjoys the staff, and has developed a wonderful group of friends. He often says it feels like he’s living with “80 brothers and sisters,” which speaks volumes about the sense of community at Redwood Heights. All in all, if you are looking for an assisted living facility where your loved one will be well cared for, supported, and treated like family, Redwood Heights Assisted Living is an excellent choice in the Salem area.

Yeah, I'd like to say that if you're looking for a place for your parents or your mom or dad. Redwood Heights is the the only place my wife and family loved after checking 4 places. The rooms are great and they take good care of the our parents here. Otherwise, if they didn't, we! Wouldn't be here but I gotta give him 5 stars. There's a great place to work with!

My 87 year old mom is a recent resident to Redwood Heights. She's been there since the end of May and truly loves it. The staff are very friendly and have helped my mom recover from a fractured ankle and two surgeries. My mom enjoys attending all the various activities throughout each week. So much to do and lots of other residents to talk with and get to know. Redwood Heights has a van that takes residents to appointments or group outings. My mom hasn't attended any of the group outings, but she has used the van for several orthopedic appointments. The driver, Pamela, is very personable and chats with my mom as they drive through town. I highly recommend touring Redwood Heights if you are looking for a place for yourself or loved ones. I'm so thankful we found this place for my mom!

What a fantastic find for dad. I knew next to nothing about moving from independent to assisted living. It was a huge learning curve. There is a lot to consider in regard to current and future cost, current physical needs and future needs. Not to mention staff availability to meet all the needs of the residents. At Redwood Heights, the building may be dated and they don’t have all the fancy bells and whistles as some of the other places in town I toured but they have a solid activity schedule, good food and quality people to care for my dad in a safe environment. The meals smell delicious, are of good quality and my dad’s preferences and favorites are being met. I love the meal variety on the menu (wish they could cook for me!) and that they have options if the main meal does not appeal to him. Residents can be seen visiting in the dining area and lobby, taking in the sun outside (when it’s warm enough and shining) and participating in physical or crafting activities. We chose Redwood Heights for the people who work there and the level of service they provide. The staff are very caring and upbeat. We have always been met with smiles and warm greetings on the floor and when they come and help dad. Our decision to move dad to Redwood Heights is a big win for us and for him. I am very happy with the outcome!

Moving our mom into assisted living was a very difficult choice. We chose Redwood Heights as our mom’s new home and could not be happier with that choice. Mom has been treated like family by the amazing staff. They are an amazing group of professionals, from the receptionist to the management, who truly care about their residents. I must give special kudos to the caregivers as well. They are truly an amazing, compassionate and hardworking group of individuals. We are so very grateful, thankful and happy for all that Redwood Heights is to and for our mother. PS - The food is outstanding
