Great place to live and getting better all the time. The residents and staff are wonderful people, the food is delicious and the activities offer a wide variety of things to do. I've lived here almost 3 years and absolutely love this place.

The campus is beautiful, and the staff are incredibly attentive and truly care about the well-being of the seniors. The transition from Five Star/Aleris Life is applauded for both residents and employees. The Executive Director was a great choice for the future of the community. He is warm and caring to both staff and residents. If you want to experience a fabulous activity department, attend one of the many activities campus wide. One of the best teams in the industry. Within the AL department, you have tenure staring from the administrator to the care team. All around great place. Would highly recommend as part of your planning for the next chapter of life.

The Remington Club has become an unsafe and inaccessible facility for elderly residents during the renovations. The lack of ventilation has resulted in dust and harmful chemicals floating around in the air, posing a serious health risk to the residents, with management not doing anything about it. In addition, the facility does not have ramps, making it incredibly challenging for the majority of their residents who use canes or wheelchairs to navigate around. This lack of accessibility is unacceptable and shows a lack of concern for the safety and wellbeing of residents. Furthermore, the facility only has one room available in the building for residents to gather and socialize, yet they have to go through the construction to get to that room, which is extremely unsafe. The services and programs have also been significantly diminished as a result of the renovations, which has been going on for months already. When I attempted to address these issues with management, I was met with no response, and during resident meetings, the executive director was dismissive and uncaring towards our concerns. The facility is a health and safety hazard, and the management seems to have no interest in addressing the safety concerns or providing adequate support to their elderly residents. They have unstable pieces of wood that residents in walkers, wheelchairs and canes have to walk over -- it's unstable and it's so inconsiderate for their residents. There is no reparations for what the residents have to go through -- no reduction in rent, no being transferred to cleaner, accessible rooms, no assistance from management. There are even no navigation signs for the residents to figure out and remember how to get back to their rooms or through the buildings. It's cruel and inconsiderate what these residents are having to go through. I am shocked that other reviews have painted this facility in a positive light. The facility was entirely covered in dust and plastic sheets, and the floors were stripped and dirty. Even before renovations, the facility was not kept or run well, and it is clear that they do not care about the safety and health of their residents. I would strongly advise against considering the Remington Club as a place for your loved ones with the current management.

I feel the staff is very nice. The restaurant staff is very patient. The landscaping is beautiful. The apartments have a good layout . The food especially the soup is very good. I feel it would be helpful to have several of the doors that lead to the eating room be automatic. It is very difficult for someone with a walker to open the heavy doors. There should be more engaging classes that could get people to talk and interact. The management doesn't seem real responsive to requests like higher quality meats that can be chewed easier.

I recently attended the 30th Anniversary event at the Remington Club Healthcare Center as a vendor (photographer). The event was well organized and prepared, with lots of people attending. Everyone from residents, to visitors, to the staff were all smiling and having a good time. And how could you not have a good time, there was lots of food, music, entertainment, games, and even recognition awards from the facility director to the residents. Staff was kept busy answering questions, meeting and greeting folks and just making themselves available to anyone who had a question or needed anything. Even the wait staff were always checking on me to see if there was anything I needed...and they were very busy moving about as quickly as humanly possible ensuring everyone was taken care of. My hat is off to all involved in putting this extravaganza together. I also had the opportunity to visit with the administrative staff and received brief tour of the facility by the lovely and friendly Admissions Coordinator, Pamela Cooper or just "Cooper" as I am told. I also took the time to speak with some of the residents at the event and there was not a single unhappy face or negative comment from them. From what I can gather this is a top notch facility and years down the road, should the need arise, this is where I would be happy to hang my hat and call home as many others have done. It is a warm and friendly facility with an amazing staff who genuinely care about you.
