Incredible staff and care, from the chefs to the cleaning crew to the aides/nurses to the director. Everyone is polite (even when they're being mistreated), helpful, and caring. . . As a retired Respiratory Therapist who has worked in many facilities, Brentwood is top-shelf! People who leave one-star reviews must think a nursing home is the Ritz-Carlton. Given the parameters of caring for twenty or more patients in a wing, plus unexpected accidents and call buttons, the entire staff is on the front-lines every day doing their best. Brentwood staffs appropriately per state guidelines, but no one can prepare for seven or eight call buttons lighting up at the same time. As for "people always being on their phones," staff barely have time to potty during their shift. Just because you happen to see them on a phone doesn't even mean they're "surfing the internet." Many times when I was "on my phone" at a facility, I was double-checking something medical. Best facility in the area! I recommend it without reservation. :)

My dad stayed here for rehab after his foot was amputated. They welcomed him, allowed my mom to stay overnight and they both called it a "resort." The physical therapy was outstanding, the staff fun and very polite, it is clean and comfortable and the food simple but very tasty.

Hubby spent 2 months on the 400 hall. We were very pleased with how he was treated & cared for. The nurses & Stna's went out of their way to be kind & helpful to us. The place was nice & clean with a homey atmosphere. The rehab staff was top notch & very helpful to us. We were grateful to find such a caring place. They were like a second family to us. Would highly recommend this facility.

My mother previously lived in this memory care facility, and while there are a few positives, overall I had serious concerns about the quality of care. Concerns: • Staff at the nursing station were often on their phones or engaged in personal conversations instead of monitoring residents. • The facility appears to be understaffed, and high turnover created a lack of consistency for residents. • Many residents seemed over-medicated, often sleeping or appearing disengaged, which raises concerns about quality of life. • It was surprisingly easy to enter the unit without a code or key, which poses a serious safety risk. • The exit code is not changed regularly, leaving potential for misuse by disgruntled staff or visitors. • State Medicaid beds are advertised as available after a two-year private pay period, but we found that in practice, they were not actually available. • Soiled briefs were often left on residents for extended periods, which can contribute to UTIs and other health problems. • Residents sometimes wandered hallways looking for help, or were left in the dining room with 10–13 residents and only one aide (or none). Positives: • A few staff members truly cared for the residents and went above and beyond, even when they were clearly overworked and exhausted. • The facility hosts family dinners around holidays, which provide nice opportunities for connection. • Resident rooms have half doors, which makes it easier for staff and visitors to check in quickly. Overall, while I appreciate the efforts of the caring staff, the facility needs to address staffing levels, training, safety, and resident dignity to provide the quality of care families expect for their loved ones.

As a nurse who provides supplemental care to residents of this facility, I cannot say enough great things about the Assisted Living/Memory Care. The facility always looks/smells clean and has a very “homey” feel to it. The staff is very attentive to their residents. I would not hesitate to recommend The Reserves to any of my family or friends. 💪🏻😊
