My mother has been at the retreat for close to 5 years. She is currently living in the independent building. Her apartment is cozy and she has adapted very well after leaving her home for many years after living independently. I can’t say enough good things about the staff and how they make her feel loved and welcomed. The staff takes very good care of the residents. There is an abundance of activities and my sister and I can hang out with her anytime in the beautiful well decorated common area. We especially enjoy going with her to happy hour on Wednesday and Friday. Live music on Friday and a wonderful DJ on Wednesday. The staff usually serves snacks and dance with the residents. We love all the residents and feel we are family there. We like the convenience of the salon and she enjoys getting her hair done there. The meals they serve are really good and reasonable. We love the kitchen staff and they take very good care of the residents. We are so glad our mother chose the Retreat. Fun is had by all at the Retreat!

I visited the Retreat at Conyers after my aunt moved in to the independent Living setting. My experience was amazing. The campus is beautiful, the food is great( I had lunch at the Belle Restaurant). I met the Management Staff at happy hour and they were all very friendly and interacted with the tenants and families. They answered all if my questions( i was very inquisitive) and they were patient and kind. We are thrilled with the service and all that our aunt is receiving at the Retreat. You won’t be disappointed

I’ve had such a positive experience with this senior living community. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and genuine care that the staff and residents share. The staff makes you feel at home, from the lovely housekeeper with the huge smile to the server with the colored hair that smiles and jokes with those who live there. You can tell that hiring the right people is important here. The dining experience is exceptional as well. The food is consistently delicious, well prepared, and thoughtfully presented. It’s clear that the culinary team takes pride in offering meals that are both nutritious and enjoyable. Mealtimes here feel like a highlight of the day rather than just a routine. We often eat at their restaurant, the beau and belle. Best prices in Conyers, the food is always hot and fresh

I would strongly warn anyone against placing themselves or a loved one in this assisted living facility. The conditions here are deeply disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable for a place entrusted with people’s health, safety, and dignity. The food service alone is a major red flag. The dining area rarely serves what is actually listed on the menu. Instead, residents are told what they will be eating based on whatever happens to be available that day. Meals are frequently substituted, poorly planned, and feel rushed or thrown together. Proper nutrition is essential in assisted living, yet this facility treats meals as an afterthought. Residents should not have to settle for inadequate or unpredictable food because the kitchen is unprepared or poorly managed. The overall operation of the facility is equally troubling. There is a clear lack of organization, accountability, and effective leadership. Requests for assistance often take an unreasonable amount of time, and many concerns seem to be ignored entirely. Communication with staff is inconsistent at best, and when issues are raised, they are frequently brushed off rather than addressed with any urgency or care. The level of care provided does not come close to what is promised. Staffing appears insufficient, and the staff who are present often seem overwhelmed or disengaged. As a result, residents are left waiting far too long for help and do not receive the attentive, compassionate care that assisted living is supposed to provide. This creates an environment that feels neglectful rather than supportive. Cleanliness and maintenance are also ongoing concerns. Common areas and living spaces are not consistently well-kept, which further reinforces the impression that resident well-being is not a priority here. For a facility where people may live for years, this lack of upkeep is alarming. Overall, this facility falls far below acceptable standards for assisted living. Between unreliable meals, poor communication, inadequate care, understaffing, and general mismanagement, it creates a stressful and disappointing environment instead of a safe and nurturing one. Families place immense trust in assisted living facilities, and this one does not live up to that responsibility. I strongly urge anyone considering this location to do extensive research, ask tough questions, and seriously explore other options before making such an important decision

I toured the Retreat looking for a place for my father. My experience was informative and enlightening. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and personable. I talked to current tenants and they all gave glowing feedback on their experience and living situation. The Management staff was professional and gave me good advice on my dad’s living arrangements. The food was very good. My dad was able to meet the chef. The care staff were extremely nice including the cleaning staff and landscapers. I was overly impressed and I am now sending information about the Retreat to my in-laws in Texas.
