If you’re a contractor steer clear! If I could give this place zero stars I would. We have a family owned lawn and landscape business. The previous owners/management owe us over $5,000 from the winter of 2024. We were told it is under new management and ownership for 2025 and promised things would go much more smooth. We decided to give them a chance. Well, the new company now owes us over $10,000 in services and material. You can’t get ahold of anyone for anything and we’ve been trying over a year to collect any payment even from their out of state headquarters. We are filing a lawsuit to hopefully recoup these costs. As for the place itself it’s a dump. Windows shattered, everything overgrown, garbage everywhere. We witnessed an employee getting chased by their boyfriend. They were screaming, yelling, and punching car windows right outside this assisted living. We had to call the cops. I feel bad for anyone living here. **We’ve made countless efforts to get ahold of this company throughout the past year. Calls, voicemails, emails, letters. Zero response**

My mother was in assisted living and went to the hospital. While in the hospital they told us family she had to move out of her apartment and go downstairs in a tiny room where she can’t even see outside the window. My heart is broken. They didn’t give proper notice. My mother says she doesn’t receive her medications timely. I feel she was treated badly by forcing her to leave her apartment when she could still walk and just needed help with receiving meals and medication, all of which could have been done in assisted living. Also, I have repeatedly tried calling the facility at all hours. They absolutely never answer. Poorly run and poorly managed facility. I don’t recommend this facility for your family member.

I am distressed by what my friend who lives at the Ridge reports to me. The director seems very uncaring and dogmatic with a lack of sensitivity to the problems many residents have. People are in assisted living because they need assistance with many aspects of their lives. That is the definition, in a way, of the purpose of assisted living facilities. Sadly, however, it seems the director shows little patience for the needs residents. This is very disappointing.

I have a relative there now and just found out the nurse and the director no longer work there. I need to talk to someone about my brothers care.

My grandma has lived in the memory care unit for the past 3 years (before that in the main building at both levels of care for about 15 YEARS). Today I received 30 days notice that Avalon would be closing the memory care unit for renovations. 30 days notice is what's required by law in Wisconsin, but my grandmother & the other residents deserve better! 30 days notice to people with dementia, Alzheimer's and whom are otherwise debilitated?! I would have expected a company (Ridgeline Management Co.) that supposedly specializes in senior care would give a more reasonable amount of time to notify residents & their families (if they have families) if they were planning on doing renovations?...
