I should have written this review many times before. Rio Terra Assisted Living is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! My mom has lived at Rio Terra for six years. All staff have always showed the most loving and kind care for my mom. I cannot even begin to say thank you enough. My mom is well cared for and loves Rio Terra. Thank you to the concierges, the nurses, med techs, aides, resource coordinator, resident service director, bus drivers, life style coordinators, dining room attendants, cooks, housekeeping...I am sure I am missing someone and I apologize. My family knows that my mom is in the best hands and she is happy.

I recently had the pleasure of touring with Jo Anne at Rio Terra, where she excelled in delivering a superb experience to my client. Thank you, JoAnne!

My mother has generally enjoyed her time at this assisted living community, but recently we’ve encountered some concerning issues with ants in her room. A few days ago, she set a cookie down, went to the restroom, and when she came back, she picked it up without noticing that fire ants had gotten on it. She was bitten on her hands before she realized what was happening. Then this morning, she reached for the glass of water she keeps next to her bed and found it full of ants as well (not fire ants this time, but still disturbing). I understand that pests can be a challenge in any facility, but I’m hoping these incidents will be taken seriously and addressed promptly to ensure her safety and peace of mind. We appreciate the staff and want to make sure her living environment stays clean and comfortable.

Thanks so much to the Rio Terra team for their wonderful hospitality as we hosted a 3 day training event for senior living managers. This location has a dedicated team and is a wonderful example of senior living management in action.

Honestly, I had to take time out to give kudos to the staff over at Rio Terra Senior Living today. In my experience, people are quick to bash people and only post and make known bad things about an establishment and it's staff. But, when it comes to the hardworking staff who are doing a phenomenonal job, they never get recognized. Why? Because things are usually going so well, they don't have time to complain! Theyre too busy soaking up the great treatment and respect they are receiving. I visit many Senior Living and MC/ AL residential properties. In all of that time I have only given less than a hand full of people kudos. I was beyond pleasantly overcome with positivity with Bryan over at Rio Terra. It's no wonder all of the residents cherish and love him. Whats not to like? Just working around him, Ive never seen such a bond from a maintenance tech with the residents. He works hard, is on top of tasks like "white on rice", knows what problems he is fixing next, AND what projects he has planned to ensure the residents get the most out of living at this property compared to others. He carries himself as a professional and his legs move at a road runners pace, TRUST ME! I walked with him and even I told him that 😆. My point is, it's staff like this, such as those that handle housekeeping, serve food in the kitchen, front end staff, just like the wonderful Teresa (Theresa) who is an absolute above and beyond doer for others, with zero expectations in return. He does it because he wants to and enjoys it. You can't teach this. But, just like Bryan, Theresa is on the reception and front desk end of things. I would be remiss if I didn't bring up her unteachable and self growth to treat the residents the way she would want to be treated. We all learned this as kids, but when it comes to Bryan, the Dir. Of Maintenance, and Teresa (Theresa), front end receptionist, they really took that to heart and it shows on how they do things efficiently, with a sense of urgency, and committed to do the best job possible. No one wants to have doubts about how well they will be treated when they actually find a nice place to stay, PERIOD! I can ASSURE ANYONE, and ANY DOUBTERS (because I heard it straight from soo sooo many residents in just one day), that this establishment really, truly cares, really listens to the needs of the residents, as well as the needs of the unit they stay in - this solid team, and a maintenance Director like Bryan, I would bet your chips on this residence. Dont fall for some other place that dances false nuances and veils of truly caring - but then, when you move in, the whole dynamic changes. Imagine the stress that it took to move in and get settled, only to regret not listening to this recommendation! This is a phenomenal establishment, with staff that truly make the most of their days by truly serving you and what makes you happy - they never take the lazy route, only the route you prefer that will make you more than content to see to it that your residence in this community is a happy and comfortable one.
