⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As someone looking ahead and imagining the best possible place for my mom, I can honestly say LakeHouse Manitowoc is exactly the kind of community every family hopes to find. From the moment you walk in, you feel a true sense of family. The caregivers don’t just provide care—they genuinely treat residents like their own loved ones, with kindness, patience, and respect. It brings real peace of mind knowing that the people caring for your mom truly care about her. The entire staff works together beautifully. The cooks prepare meals with heart and pride, the housekeeping team keeps the building spotless and fresh, and the maintenance and office staff are always attentive and welcoming. The Executive Director, and activity team are clearly dedicated to making sure every resident is supported and safe. What truly stands out is how full and joyful life is at LakeHouse Manitowoc. There are daily activities that nurture the mind, body, and spirit—exercise classes, games, art, church services, baking, bingo, book club, happy hours with live entertainment. Residents are encouraged to stay active, social, and connected. The apartments are comfortable, private, and truly feel like home, with space for personal belongings and memories. The outdoor areas are peaceful and inviting, perfect for fresh air and sunshine. If you are a family member searching for a place where your mom will be loved, respected, and cared for as if she were family, LakeHouse Manitowoc is a place you can trust.

In September 2019, she made the decision to move into the Lake House (previously Riverwoods) In July of 2024 she fell and shattered her knee cap. Surgery to correct this injury was not an option and she was now confined to a wheelchair. We could hope with care, physical therapy and rest, she would find comfort. She was also fitted with a knee brace. The caregivers adjusted the brace periodically. Stacy was her acting nurse. The brace eventually caused an abrasion on her leg. The abrasion became infected. The cleansing and bandaging did not take place in a timely, professional manner. The area became infected with MRSA. MRSA, a contagious staph infection, can enter the body in several ways. Most commonly is skin to skin contact. MRSA, moving swiftly, entered her blood stream. She made it through the war, the depression, scarlet fever and COVID to name a few, but she lost her life to MRSA. Please attend to your patients in a timely, professional manner to prevent any others from having to endure such a horrible, painful death

Lakehouse Manitowoc is fantastic, from initial tour, to an accommodated Sunday visit, from move-in through getting acclimated, this staff is top-notch! They are caring, personalized and professional. Every single team member has been respectful and helpful, gone above and beyond to help my dad get comfortable. Lakehouse Manitowoc is clean, food is amazing (my dad tells everyone), the care is personalized. I can’t say enough good things about Lakehouse Manitowoc. My family and I are grateful to have found Lakehouse Manitowoc for our dad for this chapter.

My Dad, Paul has lived here for a few years. I am amazed at the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. They make living there fun. I am a home health Physical Therapist in the Milwaukee area and go to assisted living facilities often. I have seen the good and bad. I could not have picked a better place for my Dad and would highly recommend it.
