RIVERSIDE COTTAGES @ THE SHORES

Riverside Cottages provided exceptional care for my dad during his time there while he was living with vascular dementia. From the moment he arrived, we felt supported and confident that he was in compassionate, capable hands. Emily, the director, does an outstanding job ensuring the facility is well run, organized, and attentive to each resident’s needs. The owners being onsite is another reassurance, leadership is present and genuinely invested. A heartfelt thank you to all of the caregivers who show up every day with patience, kindness, and dedication. Their compassion made this difficult journey much easier for my mom and I, and we are deeply grateful for the excellent care they provided my dad. If you have to make the difficult decision to place a loved one in a facility-this is the one you need to consider.

Please do not send your loved ones here! They only care for your money, not the well being of residents. Also, the facility has a huge roach infestation problem. The owners Michelle & Robert are extremely rude as well as Egocentric.

I recently moved my mom here from a different community in Jacksonville. She’s been here a short time and they are taking great care of her. My mom is non verbal and they are just fabulous with here. She gets her hair and nails done every week. There always some activity going on. Wednesday a lady comes in with a harp and residents listen for a while, then can try it themselves with some ladies singing as well. All the staff has been compassionate and caring. I’m glad I moved her to this community.

Great care. My husband is there. Any issues I had have been addressed and rectified in a timely fashion. I would recommend to anyone with a loved one that need s care. My husband passed away in April. I can't praise the staff enough. They went above and beyond their duties to make him comfortable and cared for me and my family like we were their family. They took such good care of him all the time he lived there. It couldn't have been any better.

After a less-than-pleasant experience at a different care facility, I was nervous of how Riverside would meet my aging mom’s needs as she dealt with Alzheimer’s. However, from the first moment I stepped into Riverside, it was immediately apparent that the staff truly cares for its residents. Director Anne Guenther was nothing short of amazing and she works hard to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and respect. From my mom’s first moments in the facility to her final days, she was given expert care and loved very well. I can’t recommend this facility highly enough for anyone in search of late-in-life care for their loved ones.
