This is the worst nursing home in ohio I'm sure of. They don't know how to take care of paraplegic patients. It's supposed to be as SKILLED NURSING HOME but it's a LIE. I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS SICK BUT SINCE I'VE GOTTEN THERE I'VE BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL EVERY MONTH. NOW THEY TOOK MY PAIN MEDS OVER WEED. THAT'S A CRICK OF BS.

I'm at Riverside Landing and have been for about 8 months. I've gotten close to a lot of residents and employees. I feel like we are about to lose so many of our best employees an when that happens this place will go down hill so fast n hard that I'll probably e d of leaving to either go hone ti my sisters or to another nursing home. I don't want to be there for that aftermath. The doctor here never sees but writes order's for people anyway, I've been trying to see him. I had to seek a dr outside of this facility for primary care. I've ended up end the hospital twice 6 days in, 32 days out, an 4 days back in the hospital over UTI infections an sepsis both time's. The second time I went in I was in septic shock. However I'm still here an I feel like I'm able to eventually get the correct care I need especially since I'm a quadriplegic. My health is very crucial in me staying healthy or not. I'm a optimistic person and hope for the best but prepare for the worst type of woman. I'm having surgery on kidney stones on Monday wish me luck everyone. All BTW this is my first nursing home I've ever been in and I love the residents and employees but when it comes to my health that's not the Hearst care. When I say health I'm meaning medically not physically. However the therapy here is a complete joke. LMAO the inky time it was good was when the original curls went on leave and we had replacements come in NOW they were great.i enjoy spreading joy ,happiness, positivity, an cheer with the people who are older than me which seems to be quiet a bit knowing that I'm only 41 years old. Most people love me am those who don't I really don't care. This is my story of my time here its been 8 months and still counting. Staying here still fir now.

My mother was there for 2.5 months, for short-term care but got worse not better. Not one time did I ever get to have a direct conversation with the director of nursing, although she evidently recognized me sitting in my car but I would have no idea who she was and she did not even come out to talk to me knowing too well I had concerns and I had been trying to reach her. My mom’s unusual behaviors there including certain ones being considered a demon, was a concern but my concerns were dismissed, told she was fine earlier in the day and they tried blaming me for her unusual behaviors and suggested I not go there to see my mom on Sundays, my only day to get there due to my schedule. No, it was me questioning them about concerns which they did not like and so did not want me there to notice. Even two particular aides admitted they noticed an obvious decline in my mom, due to weight loss and weakness, and that her referring to a nurse as a demon made sense because that particular nurse was not at all nice. When you call the facility, you could never get an answer without calling multiple times. It was very difficult to get transport scheduled if there were any tests scheduled outside the facility. My mom’s expensive prescription glasses and articles of clothing were lost including a brand new jacket and no help from any of the staff to ever find them. Promised they would look when she left there and never heard back so I guess they all just mysteriously disappeared.

Hi. My name is Sharon Edwards. We have our mother's at Riverside landing. We were scared to have her go anywhere but, it got to the point she was unsafe. We went and checked the facility out. Was greated with respect and everyone was so nice. My mom has settled in and loves it there. She is well taken care of and happy. All the staff are wonderful. I feel happy and at piece knowing my momma is safe and happy. Thank you all the staff for doing a awesome job.!!!!
