So the things I can say about this place, I would not put my parents or grandparents if they paid me! The refrigerator and freezer isn’t working, there is mold in the kitchen sink, the bathrooms are filthy, the floors are filthy, the tables are filthy, there isn’t enough staff per clients 15 clients and 2 staff and when 1 goes on lunch there is only one to take care of everyone and if something should happen to someone’s family member then what! Staff has to supply their own gloves also what someone really needs to do is report this place and have someone inspect it seriously people take your loved ones out of this facility if you love them and poop on the toilet where the clients use been on there for a few days now not even cleaned!

I moved my mother-in-law, Martha, from another facility because I did not like what was happening there. Pacifica was the opposite! Kelly, who runs the facility, is a kind Christian woman, and you can tell. She treats her staff & the residents with respect & professionalism. The staff reflected Kelly's leadership & were very patient and kind as well. I saw none of the problems the other senior memory care had. The staff dropped what they were doing to accommodate me when I came to pick up Martha. In 2-1/2 months, there were no incidents of injuries, falls or hospitalization compared to repeated falls & injuries and 3 unnecessary hospital visits at the other facility in the same amount of time. You never know what happens when someone is in memory care & you are left to rely on the staff alone to treat your loved-one with care. I can give my highest recommendation to Pacifica & Kelly for taking excellent care of Martha! Thank you, Pacifica.

We moved my mother from her previous memory care facility in San Diego to the memory care facility at Pacifica Senior Living in Bakersfield about 6 months ago. The team at Pacifica made the transition easy and could not have been more helpful. Pacifica has unbelievable staff on all levels, from the reception desk in the assisted care building to all of the staff in the memory care unit. When I call, I am immediately transferred to an individual or am able to leave a message with a swift call back. As for her care, we are grateful and happy with how my mother is being taken care of. The staff take extreme care with not only my mother but with all the residents. They know each resident’s likes and dislikes and take care to cater to their individual personalities. My mother is thriving there and is extremely happy. I have never in our 5 years of having my mother in memory care ever seen her look better. She is clean and they take extreme care with keeping her skin in excellent shape, which is extremely important. The layout of the facility is homey with the dining area separate from the living room and activity areas. The facility and the rooms themselves are clean and taken care of. It is truly a homelike atmosphere all the while providing excellent care and treatment of all residents. I am very happy with Pacifica Senior Living in Bakersfield. My father was a resident there for the last two years of his life (passing at 96) and the entire staff went out of their way to make his time there comfortable and meaningful. From Irma the nurse to Kelly and the rest of the team they took the time to keep him and all the residents safe and engaged. It’s not an easy business to run or do well but Pacifica was up to the task. I recommend them wholeheartedly. Thank you again.
